I'll give your book a shot and just bought it. Looks like I will be reading Fringe Fiction authors for a while.

message 55: by Tiger (new)

Tiger Gray (tiger_gray) | 290 comments Okay I think I am going to do Monica's Famine, Jason's What Hides Within, and Jennifer's Into the Veil. As I said I'll be able to pick this up around the third of May, and since I'm off to visit my grandma not long after that I will have tons of reading time!

message 56: by Jason (new)

Jason Crawford (jasonpatrickcrawford) | 565 comments Didn't like mine? ;)

Just kidding! Enjoy your visit!

message 57: by Jason (new)

Jason Crawford (jasonpatrickcrawford) | 565 comments Hey! I just saw something! I went and looked at my novel on the Kindle Store - and the algorithms said that "people who bought this" also bought Atancia! We're building an algorithmic support net!

message 58: by Jason (new)

Jason Parent | 123 comments If this list stays short, I will try to do as many as I can year's end. Jason, does it matter which of your novels I review?

message 59: by Jason (new)

Jason Crawford (jasonpatrickcrawford) | 565 comments I only have the one available. The Drifter is being re-edited.

message 60: by Jason (new)

Jason Parent | 123 comments They both sound interesting, but which one I try would entirely depend on my 13 year-old girl mood swings. No offense to any 13 year-old girls who are presently mood swinging. ah, like me one day, hate me the next.

I agree. I can already see what I'll be doing for the next few months.
I picked up Jason's What Hides Within for my second, and I'll make my way through the list.

And I would love to know how everyone creates the book links on here:( I'm obviously technically inept.

Jennifer McDonald (JenMcDonald) | 158 comments Jason wrote: "And just bout Into the Veil; looks interesting!"

Thanks;)

I added your
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

and Tiger's
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1... to my 'to read' list. I'll grab them soon.

message 63: by Michael (new)

Michael Benavidez | 1605 comments Well so far I'm pretty much planning to grab everyone's book though those with physical copies available may be the first ones read haha. All I know is I'm gonna go broke with this but I regret nothing!

message 64: by Jason (new)

Jason Crawford (jasonpatrickcrawford) | 565 comments Jennifer - if you are on a browser (not the app) there is an "add book/ author" link that will allow you to search and find them.

message 65: by Chad (new)

Chad Lorion (goodreadscomcmichaellorion) Just now purchased Jennifer's Into the Veil. Will read after Monica's Famine and post reviews. Wow. Like others have expressed, I suddenly have more than enough to read (not that I already didn't!). This was a great idea, Courtney!

So... that was ridiculously easy. Thanks for the tip:) I'll go hide in the dark and feel dumb now.

We all had the same questions at one time or another. It took me to like last week to finally figure out how to include spoilers, and pictures... forget about it.

I'm glad people are really getting into this and -apparently-enjoying one another's work :)

message 69: by Lily (new)

Lily Vagabond (lilyauthor) I'll join in, but in a couple of months. I'm maxed out on a book budget for now.

message 70: by Brian (new)

Brian (vsbrian) | 3 comments I'd love to participate. This is a great idea. Is anyone willing to "trade" shorter works with me? Mine is a 15,000 word Novelette - Sentencing Day.

Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00JPWMF8E
Kobo/Epub: http://store.kobobooks.com/en-US/eboo...
Nook: http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/sente...

Let me know! I'd love to purchase, read, and review your work.

message 71: by Wren (new)

Wren Figueiro | 215 comments Just finished yours Jason C. Great job. Hopefully I'll have a moment to write the review tomorrow.

Don't worry! It took me awhile to figure it out too. When in doubt, google! ;)

Ember Shane (embershane) | 10 comments What an awesome idea! I would love to participate! This is mine:

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...

I'm not an especially fast reader, but I will have three reviews up within two months. I chose Sentencing Day (Brian Van Slyke), Into the Veil (Jennifer R. McDonald), and Atancia (Wren Figueiro). Though, I will try to get everyone listed above within the year.

message 76: by G.G. (new)

G.G. (ggatcheson) | 467 comments I can't participate at the moment. I don't have enough time and my waiting list is already a bit too long.
Anyway, I just wanted to say that I have read Chains of Prophecy by Jason and loved it. The storyline will give you something to think about long after you've finished it.
I'd recommend the book to anyone with an open mind. Don't let the 'religious' part of it turn you away.

Leigh Podgorski (leighpod) | 10 comments Michael wrote: "I haven't a clue other than the fact that Amazon is just super weird like that"

I can guess, Michael...re can't add a review to Amazon---unless you bought it on Amazon-- they will not let you post; this might not apply if you are a Prime member. This even applies to Amazon UK which really gets my goat! And this might be a topic for a whole new thread-- why can't all a writer's reviews be compiled? Such as GoodReads(which Amazon now owns) and especially Amazon UK with Amazon? Right now-- they are not-- so you will show, for ex., 2 reviews on Amazon-- yet your total may be far above b/c your reviews are scattered. Grrrrrr!

message 82: by Michael (new)

Michael Benavidez | 1605 comments was gonna buy three books but my budget was killed a lil bit.
I bought Chains of Prophecy What Hides Within

message 83: by Jason (new)

Jason Crawford (jasonpatrickcrawford) | 565 comments Thanks, Michael!

message 84: by Michael (new)

Michael Benavidez | 1605 comments no problem! it'll take 3-5 days since I like my books in physical copies.

message 85: by Michael (new)

Michael Ronn (michaellaronn) Just reviewed Atancia by Wren. Onward to Chains of Prophecy!

message 86: by Wren (new)

Wren Figueiro | 215 comments Thanks Michael! And thanks for posting. I don't know if this happens to everyone, but when I log on to GR after someone has posted a review I can see that the number of reviews went up, but I can't see the actual review. It doesn't let me see it until the next day unless I know who wrote it.

message 87: by Michael (new)

Michael Benavidez | 1605 comments happens to me too Wren. i just tend to go with it, though the suspense kills me haha

message 88: by Ember (new)

Ember Shane (embershane) | 10 comments Wren, Michael: LOL, same here! I can't stand the wait!

Brian: I started reading Sentencing Day this morning... and it's ridiculous how much I am loving it! It's killing me not to have it finished already, but I homeschool my son, so the bulk of my attention goes there. I will have a review posted by tonight. =)

message 89: by Michael (new)

Michael Ronn (michaellaronn) Wren, I noticed the same thing. It's kind of aggravating. I wonder if anyone else has a solution?

message 90: by Brian (new)

Brian (vsbrian) | 3 comments Ember, wow - thank you so much! That means a lot. I will download your book and get reading and then reviewing shortly!

Lily Vagabond (lilyauthor) I've deleted the comments unrelated to the challenge of this thread. The value of reviews is another topic. Anyone who wishes to participate in that discussion, please feel free to start a new topic. This thread is only for the Pay It Forward challenge, to support each other's work, and have fun.

Also, please be assured you can contact any of the mods at any time if you have concerns with unfair favortism and such in any of the challenges posted in this group. We're here for you :)

Jason Crawford (jasonpatrickcrawford) | 565 comments Just wanted to let everyone know that I'm working on a bunch of RL stuff right now - my MA, teacher training, etc - but I'll be back to reading my fellow fringies soon!

message 96: by Amber (new)

Amber Foxx (amberfoxx) | 270 comments Suggestion. Maybe this isn't necessarily important to others, so take it as my preference and if it's not yours, disregard. When you include your book, could you use the cover link rather than just the title link? Or mention a genre? It may seem lazy of me to be trying to make fewer clicks but I want to select books I am likely to enjoy. There are many perfectly good, even wonderful books in the world that I would not like. (I'm allergic to vampires, for example.)
Also, could you mention whether you have multiple editions or Kindle-only? Since I don't buy Kindle books (have a Nook and the conversion process is quite a hassle to me). I'd like to participate, but ... Is there a way to make a list of all the titles and their genres with covers, and how many reader/reviewers each has? As this project grows that might be helpful.

message 97: by Lily (new)

Lily Vagabond (lilyauthor) I think it's up to each person to keep track. All anyone has to do, and no one is under obligation, is post your own book, then read three books. If you want to do more, that's up to you.

Posting both titles and cover link might be more helpful.

I agree with Amber. It would definitely help to have a list in one place to reference. If it was the first entry, that would make it easy to find.

message 99: by Lily (new)

Lily Vagabond (lilyauthor) A bookshelf could be started I suppose, people could just add their books, something like that.

I don't think this needs to be that complicated, and I know neither Courtney or myself have the time to do a big date collection report. Just read, if you want, if you've already read that book, find another.

message 100: by Courtney (new)

Courtney Wells | 1629 comments Mod
I hate romance say it but between working full-time, writing twenty hours a week, organizing a blog and keeping up with this group I personally don't have time to compile a list of everyone participating, who's read what :-/

I'm sorry people have to scroll a bit to find the books people are offering. Hopefully it's not too inconvenient.

Or maybe if Amber has some time available she can start a new topic to list the stats and gradually update as personal review, add books? That would be helpful but no obligation if you're too busy yourself ^^
