Anise Eden (aniseeden) Kate Elliott's Spiritwalker trilogy has three nicely long and exciting books, completely absorbing, on the fantasy end of things -- and the romance is delish. If you prefer several shorter books, there's Rosanna Leo's Gemini Island series, wonderful reads packed with action, touching romances, and shifter passion, and six books out. Also, I'm never clear on the genre for these, but I think the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon and the Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris certainly have both romance and paranormal elements and are long, engaging series. Those are the first series that spring to mind, I hope that helps!

Cindi (ourtrumpcard) I have so many PNR/UF series favs but also am always needing more, Michelle! Have you read Jeaniene Frost's Night Huntress series? Cat & Bones are the greatest! I also love Kim Harrison's The Hollows and Chloe Neillhas the Chicagoland Vampires books. All are decent length books and long running series.

Anise is right: Outlander and Sookie's Southern Vampire series are great, and I can't think of ANY books longer than the Outlander books!!!

Sandra J Weaver (sandraweaver) | 451 comments There's also the Psy Changling series by Nalini Singh (14? books) and the Dark series by Christine Feehan (over 20). I much prefer one of her shorter series-The Drake Sisters and the spin-off series, Sisters of the Heart (10 books so far). There is also the Pack and Pride series or the Dragon Kin series by Shelly Laurenston (G. A. Aiken). These are all well known series, so you've probably at least sampled them.

I second this suggestion--Singh is so great with world building.
