(view spoiler)[ So, I'm not that impressed by his poem, the gift was really cute tho. The poem is literally just Edgar Allen Poe's poem Annabel Lee, where Lara Jeans name is used as a replacement for Annabel's. I don't know if that is what Han was going for; but, the original poem has a lot of dark undertones. So, I wonder how that allusion translates into the book; because, in the poem Annabel dies, but it is also about your first love (maybe hinting at something with Gen). Idk I might be reading way too much in to this allusion. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ I quite enjoyed this book, and Lara Jeans personal growth from where she was in the beginning of the first book. She is no longer that girl that was still stuck in middle school, and hadn't really changed, and had just let the world move on without her. She is out there and participating now. So, I am really excited to see what will happen in the last book, and presumably based on the other two books who will be the third person in the love triangle. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[I can’t believe someone recorded Lara Jean and Peter in the hot tub!! That really surprised me. I bet it was Genevieve, but who knows at this point?
This book is more raunchy compared to the first one, but that makes it realistic since Lara Jean is a teenage girl.
I really hope Peter and Lara Jean stay together throughout the book. I don’t want them to fight again.

I'm hoping there's no real love triangle, or a serious love interest like in The Summer I Turned Pretty, also written by Han. The whole premise of that series is that you don't know which brother Belly will get together with-- I'm glad that this series isn't like that so far. (hide spoiler)]

I got a little mad at Lara Jean when I was reading the part where she breaks up with Peter because all he was doing was comforting Genevieve after something happened in her family! It must have been something pretty bad for her to have been such a bully to Lara Jean. Hopefully she straightens out soon… (hide spoiler)]

The awkward moment at the movie theatre, Lara Jean's insecurity in always comparing her moment's with Peter to how they must have been like with Gen, and the whole hot tub video are red flags that they will have a blowout fight about her. I don't like that Peter is still friends with Gen, ugh! And where is Josh? He was such a big part of the first book, and we haven't seen him yet. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[I'm so sad they're broken up :((((( I'm siding with Lara Jean on this one. I'm a big believer about not being friends with your exes, especially with your first love. Peter and Gen were too close. And knows Gen is still crushing on Peter. They would hang out together privately all the time. Um, no. And Gen was the one who spread the video!! I knew it! How can Peter take her side after doing that to his gf?? Seriously! I hope Lara Jean doesn't rebound with John McClaren. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[And they're back on! I totally thought she was going to go for John, but her heart is still with Peter. Oh, high school love. Gen's dad is gross, so I don't blame her for being so upset, but the girl's gotta confide in someone who's not her ex. I think I liked the first book more because of the fake relationship trope, how they started actually falling for each other, and the whole drama surrounding the letters. This book was ok, but I needed more interesting plot stuff. The John thing lasted like 5 seconds and the Assassins game and the nursing home stuff took up too much. But I'm glad to see how Lara Jean grew and gained more confidence. She admitted to constantly comparing herself to Gen and how unhealthy that was for her and her relationship with Peter. Looking forward to book 3! (hide spoiler)]

I really don't like Peter's mom, I think there might have been a better way to handle the whole situation. But other than that the ending was cute. I just felt that this book would have been better if it had been more condensed (hide spoiler)]

I wonder if they will by the end of the book. Peter is quite the romantic. His promposal was cute. BTW, when I went to high school, promposals weren't a thing. I feel like I missed out. I'm from NYC, and the Jacques Torres chocolate chip cookie part is sooooo on point. Honestly, if you haven't had one at some point in your life, you've never truly had a chocolate chip cookie :P I'm sad that Lara Jean didn't get into UVA but I kind of predicted it. I wonder what this will mean for her and Peter.. (hide spoiler)]

As the oldest, I thought she would be more mature about it. I hope she comes around. I'm so glad Trina and the dad are engaged! So Lara Jean and Peter didn't have sex on prom night, which I'm actually okay with. Peter's birthday surprise was super cute. He's such a romantic. (hide spoiler)]

It would be pretty sus if he was over the moon about it. All the parts about graduation has me feeling so nostalgic. I loved my high school experience and agree that it's a memory you cherish forever. Margot is still acting like a spoiled brat about the whole wedding thing. She's annoying me. Grow up!!
