Yeah sometimes music can be really distracting when reading. And can I just say I LOVE your profile pic Phoenix!
I can assure you Phoenix not all dogs like dressing up that much either. Trust me I know, I have three.
I never listen to music while I read, it distracts me way too much and makes me think about different things, so I can't focus on reading the book.

I can't listen to music while I read either. It always distracts me and takes me away from the world of bliss I have come to love.
Nancy Drew soundtracks on YouTube.
Can't really listen to music while reading, but when I'm in the mood, some instrumental ones can do. Especially guitar.
Depends on what I am reading or where I am. I listen to anything from Oldies to Pentatonix to Volbeat.
At first, I listen to Halsey or Melanie Martinez then, I read the rest of the book in silence unless the ending is really epic; that's when I put dramatic instrumental music.
Maybe I should try listening to music while reading some parts of books. Might make it more epic.
Anything that has no lyrics. Usually piano or violin, which is the same I listen to when working. Except if I read for studies, then nothing, no sounds!!
I'm starting to like listening to "Crimson Peak" soundtracks.

If you read a lot of fantasy, then please PLEASE look up @therealsjmaas on Spotify and listen to her playlists, they are EPIC and they really move the story with you.

And I thought I was the only one. That leaves me with Nancy Drew soundtracks and Crimson Peak soundtracks. They really fit my stories.

I listen to @therealsjmaas on Spotify, because she's got GREAT playlists that really immerse you in the book. :)
There's a lot from Hans Zimmer, John Williams, and Two Steps from Hell. Really dramatic, emotional pieces!
I don't listen music when I read, I like a lot music so it distracts me and I don't read whit it
I like to listen to music while I read... but not ocean sounds or anything.I prefer a constantly shifting selection of meaningful, play-it-again, awesome songs or melodies that either have something to do with the book or have something to do with my life at the moment.
Some of the music I like is pretty unknown, and some of it is old, but I don't care about that. ☆
I don't listen to music when I read except for when I'm at school, and everyone near me is bothering me, so I put my headphones on and music playing in order to block other people out.Usually, I just listen to my playlist which is mainly made up of Kpop, Jpop, and bands similar to Fall Out Boys and Twenty One Pilots.
It probably ends up making me even more distracted, but it's better than listening to people talk.
I don't really have a specific type of music I listen to while reading, I just put my ipod on shuffle. The only thing I can't listen to is Disney because I end up getting distracted and singing along with it haha :')
When I'm reading on the bus I put in music to block out the sound. I like listening to Ed Sheeran and Ben Howard when I read. Their songs block out the noise but they're soft so that it doesn't distract me
Love Ed Sheeran!!! :)
I usually don't listen to things when reading but when I do... It's Celtic music or something (without words)
