On my iPhone there is a "sleep" setting that shuts off my device after X number of minutes. My iPod Nano doesn't have that feature (unless I'm just blind). There must be an app for that but a quick search didn't turn up anything. I listen to books when I fall asleep and usually wake up to find the book has played through to the end. Thanks in advance.

I have two ipods and both have a sleep timer option. On the older, nano 4, it is under extras, then alarms. On the newer, maybe nano 7, press the cloçk face, sweep to stopwatch, sweep again for the timer.
