I've recently decided to take on this challenge, beginning July 1 and ending June 30, 2017 (although ideally by the end of December this year). As an extra challenge for myself, I'm also trying to include more graphic novels since it's something that's a bit outside my comfort zone. I will bold the items on the list as I complete them. Here is what I have in mind:1. Read a Horror Book – Haven't decided yet, I've been looking for a good horror graphic novel
2. Read a non-fiction book about science - No book in mind yet, but most likely something to do with teaching animals sign language, or psychological case studies
3. Read a collection of essays – The Psychology of Harry Potter: An Unauthorized Examination Of The Boy Who Lived or The Psychology of the Simpsons: D'oh!
4. Read a book out loud to someone else – When Elephant met Giraffe. Read earlier this year at work, to a participant in my program
5. Read a middle grade novel – Wonder
6. Read a biography (not memoir or autobiography) –
7. Read a dystopian or post-apocalyptic novel – More Than This or Pandemonium
8. Read a book originally published in the decade you were born
9. Listen to an audiobook that has won an Audie Award

I originally set my goal for Book Riot's Read Harder Challenge at 12, but since I've ticked off 19 off the tasks, I will increase my goal to 20. My list is here.

Hello All, Happy September! It is my favorite month of the year! Partially because my birthday is coming up, but mostly because fall starts, and I love all the fun the end of the year brings. School starts, sweater weather, snow! Lots of time to read.I know I'm a few days late with August's statistics, but I was out of town away from my computer, so here they are: as of today, we have 125 participants. We have read 618 books of the 2627 pledged, and 7 participants have completed the challenge!
