Hello, Elfsters!

As you know, today was the sign-up deadline for our gift exchange - so the Master Elf has pushed the "match" button and you will soon receive an email with the name of the person selected for you. The selection is entirely random, done via an Elfster algorithm.

So what now?

1. Make sure you've added items to your wish list so your gift partner has an easier time shopping.

2. Select the item(s) you want to give your gift partner, and after you make your purchase, mark the item as "purchased". Elfster will show you how.

3. You have until 11:59 PM on December 20th to send your gift(s).

If you have any questions, let me know. I've already done one gift exchange for a FB group and the app is very simple to use....but since this is new to all of us, no doubt we are still going to be figuring it out together.

I just had so much fun being a secret santa for a stranger...I hope you enjoy surprising one of our beloved members too! If for any reason you are unable to follow through - please don't feel bad, just let me know and I will cover the gift for you. As I said before - this should be a blessing, not a burden at a busy time of year.

Paula

Jina Gibbs | 763 comments I am having trouble getting the wish list to work. It keeps coming up as a "404 error". Any advice is welcome. But for whoever has me I am happy with anything. A card, handmade or pretty or inspirational. I could really use a planner to keep track of the kids appointments. I love devotionals and those little notepads that give you a saying or quote or word of the day. Plus I always need warm socks. I hate my feet getting cold. Anything will be sweet and truly treasured. I will keep trying to figure out the wish list thingy ma bob do hicky.
With love and many blessings to you all,
Jina

I am going to try coloring again in the New Year! So many of you have told me how much you love coloring books, I'm adding it to my post-Christmas list!

Thank you to everyone who participated in the Elfster Secret Santa adventure! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I have.

Lola | 1001 comments Paula,
Coloring just clams me down . I love using gel pens and ultra fine tip markers ,like sharpies. The ink does leak through so I took the glass out of a 8x10 in. picture frame and cut some of my flowered duct tape down the center and put it around the edges , works great and is the perfect size for most books. Jina gave me 60 gel pens and 2 coloring books Lost Ocean and one I had never seen before Vive Le Color Japan, it has some beautiful drawings. So I will be busy coloring and reading about Brazos Bend in the new year.
Hugs Lola

That sounds wonderful! What a treat, Lola! I am certainly going to try it out, since I struggle with anxiety more often than I care to admit. For the last two weeks, I've had a creative block - haven't even been able to write book reviews, or update the bio on my website...the words just won't come. I have a feeling that coloring might unleash it through sheer relaxation.

When Ray gets home today I may brave the post-Christmas crowds and head to the craft store! There's a place in town called the Dragon's Lair that offers fantasy coloring books for adults ... it's calling to me.

Check out the dragon on this Facebook post (if you use FB, that is):

Hi Paula,

You really will love it ! Last night I used my markers to color one of the pictures, cherry blossoms, from the Japan book that Jina gave me . Wolf said he thinks I should frame it. I must say it does look beautiful, pat myself on the back . And it did feel good to sit down put my feet up, imagining the apple blossoms from last summer and how sweet they smelled, and coloring them , after being on my feet all day cooking !! I will check out the site. They just opened a Hobby Lobby in Helena , I can't wait to get in there. Hugs Lola
