Listopia question on deleting duplicates

I have a question on Listopia maintenance. I clicked the find duplicates button on a list I have been updating, and it deleted the duplicate, but it did not merge the votes to the remaining entry for the work.

Is there a way to reassign the votes to the remaining book, or am I stuck just deleting the duplicate entry? (This is for future edits; I understand the votes for the book I deleted are probably just gone as I don't see any sort of change log. Please correct me if I am wrong.)

It should have, but there may be a significant caching effect. If they still seem to be gone after 24 hours, I suggest the Contact Us link on the Help page.

There was a duplicate with Good Omens. I clicked "check for duplicates" and it did. Problem is the system automatically deleted the correct edition which was at the top of the list and left the wrong edition at the bottom.

Correct edition is this

The wrong edition is at #20 now.

I can't find any change in the librarian change log. Is there any way to undo this automatic deletion of the wrong edition?

No, you can't undo that action. The only thing you can do is delete the incorrect edition and re-add the correct edition. With your one vote it will be at the bottom of the list, until you can get other people to vote for that edition. Whenever you merge duplicates (check for duplicates) it automatically favors the most-shelved edition that is on the list. So if your list is dependent on covers or specific editions, you should be careful about checking for duplicates.

Ok, thank you. Duly noted now. I thought the system would delete the edition with the lowest number of votes (ie in this case the wrong addition), but apparently not.

7 That list is so big, the duplicate function doesn't work.
