Storm is a young girl who wants nothing more than to live a reclusive life until she can free herself from the walls, no, the cage, all who have forsaken her have trapped her in, which, hopefully, will be sooner rather than later. Only there’s one problem: Everywhere she goes there seems to be nothing but hapless trouble waiting for her, and let’s not forget her uncanny tendency to make it double.
But this time, she will do it right. She will stay out of trouble. She will not be stupid or pessimistic. She will get out of Aureole, or, so help her, she will die trying.
However, things might not go as planned when, Brick, the evil head of the Crowne, asks for her personally. Not only that, but there are a lot strange new visitors in Aureole, not all them bringing good intentions. Among them are two brothers whose friendship might quite literally kill her.
