I read the Miniaturist, which was alright, but doesn't belong in top 5. I haven't read many Aussie authors this year, but it is more than what I have read other years.

Many of my Australian author reads this year related to my 2015 Personal Challenge, which was to read a number of books about Australians at war, in honour of the ANZAC centenary. So three of my top 5 are in that vein in some way:

And two outstanding pieces of contemporary fiction:

My top book of 2015 is by an Australian author - Palace of Tears by Julian Leatherdale
