Brenda wrote: "I've read and loved all she's written (except her last one) Kathryn...she's one talented lady!"Will look forward to it, then! Helen Goltz is on my list too, but I think I'll start with the first in the Mitchell Parker series, Mastermind.
Yes definitely read them in order Kathryn - Mitch grows on you...he's a great character and I can't wait for the next in the series:)
Thank you Brenda. That is a really helpful starting point for next year's challenge. I was feeling a bit overwhelmed as to where to start looking. When you go into some of the discussions there are just soooo many books mentioned. Very helpful. I've already seen a couple there that strike my fancy.
That's excellent Janet:) So glad it's helping you...I might link it to the challenges for future reference, especially with our Aussie author flavour:)
Great list. I have a few of them to read. Good to know they are top reads before I even start them :)
I know i am a bit late (and it wouldn't change the votes), but finally got to pull out my top 5 aussie reads for this year. So in no partic order.....1. The Winter Sea by Di Morrissey
2. The French Promise by Fiona McIntosh
3. Maralinga by Judy Nunn
4. The Hunter by Tony Park
5. Clancy's Crossing by Evan Green

I'm planning on reading more this year by the first 4 authors, Katrina! Haven't heard of Evan Green, so will have to look into him!
Have read, loved and own all of Evan Green's work, but unfortunately he died quite a long time ago. But I noticed in BigW just before Christmas that they've reprinted one of his books (can't remember the title) but for a long time they were out of print. Fabulous Aussie stories:)
Also loved Maralinga as well - I don't think I've read anything by Judy Nunn that I didn't like!
And a great list Katrina:)

They were all great reads and are great aussie authors! I am looking forward to reading more Judy Nunn as she was a new author to me this year :)And Kathryn, i have read a few Evan Green books and I agree with Brenda, they are great reads. I particularly enjoyed Adam's Empire
