2016 - Buddy Reads Introduction & Sign Up
I will be reading this book in about a week, (28th march to 1st April) and would love to have someone to read it with.
I would be up for The Rithmatist in May! I want to read more of Sanderson, and not just his super high fantasy stuff.

Hey Alex! That's a great question. :) For the month of the buddy read, we set up a topic specifically for the book and use that to chat and discuss with others who are reading the book at the same time. It's pretty laid back - you don't necessarily need to read at the same time or speed as other people - but it's nice to be able to share our thoughts with each other.Does that help answer your question?

Hello Sreemoyee!
We will read it in the Buddy reads of April, so even if you read it before you are more than welcome to participate in the discussion!

I'm about to start posting next month's books. I'll do them throughout today and possibly tomorrow depending on how I go.If there are any that I've missed please let me know and I'll fix it up.
I have posted all the BRs for April. I will link them in the mod thread a bit later. If there are any BRs I've missed please let me know.

Sorry Rachael. I had you listed in my book for this BR, I just hadn't transferred it across.

No problem. Thanks for adding me :)
Hi Michelle! Zara will officially add you when she's online, but feel free to check in with other buddy readers and jump into the discussion here.
Buddy reads are pretty laid back. We just provide a space for you to discuss with other members. There are suggested check-in points in the topic, but you can read at your own pace. Let me know if you have any other questions.
Anyone wants to read Moby-Dick; or, The Whale with me in may?Maybe I'll get past page 5 this time....
This is way crazy far in advance, but my book club doesn't meet/read over the holidays, so I am looking to read the Last Hundred Years: A Family Saga series (Some Luck, Early Warning, and Golden Age) Nov 2016-Jan 2017. That's 1,335 pages total, so I know it will personally take me at least 2 months.
Would anyone want to read To Kill a Mockingbird or Ella Enchanted in June as they were runners up for the group read?
Hi, I was wondering if anyone would be interested in doing Pride and Prejudice and Zombies for June? I just read June's group read, and I was looking to read the Zombie version soon.
Kadijah Michelle wrote: "Hi, I was wondering if anyone would be interested in doing Pride and Prejudice and Zombies for June? I'm a little confused here. Can someone help me understand how this works? At this point I think we're putting a suggested book in the thread (something we'd like to read) and when we want to read it. Is that correct?I would like to read The Girl on the Train, but I think that may have been covered in this group already...?
Katie wrote: "I'm a little confused here. Can someone help me understand how this works? I know we've had buddy reads with The Girl on the Train before, but it's been a while so I bet there are other people who want to read it too. There's no harm in doing it several times! When were you hoping to read it? June?
Would anyone be interested in reading Pride and Prejudice and Zombies in June to go with the group read?We were thinking it might be a fun book for those who have already read Pride and Prejudice (or anyone else who wants to join).

I would be in for that. Pride and Prejudice for the group read and Ella Enchanted and Pride and Prejudice and Zombies as buddy reads.
Cassandra wrote: "I know we've had buddy reads with The Girl on the Train before, but it's been a while so I bet there are other people who want to read it too. There's no harm in doing it several ti..."Yes, June or July. Probably July - as it stands, June is looking a little chaotic.

I'd be up for reading this - I've just joined this group and was planning to join in with the group read in June but I've already read Pride & Prejudice. But the Zombies version has been on my TBR list for a loooong time now.
I'd be in for that as well. I've read Pride and Prejudice quite a few times but it would be fun to still be tied into the action
Lindsay wrote: "Would anyone want to read To Kill a Mockingbird or Ella Enchanted in June as they were runners up for the group read?"I would be interested in reading To Kill a Mockingbird or Persuasion in June!

Cassandra wrote: "I know we've had buddy reads with The Girl on the Train before, but it's been a while so I bet there are other people who want to read it too. Although, it would be SUPER interesting to lead Pride and Prejudice in the groupd read and then just read Pride and Prejudice and Zombies for fun. LOL! I don't think my brain could handle reading them both at the same time though lol.
Side note, I'm listening to The Girl on the Train right now! I hope whoever reads it in the future likes it. I personally couldn't stand to read it, but the narrations in the audio makes it SO much better! There's a different voice for each female character. So if anyone is interested, I definitely recommend the audiobook. :)
Hi everyone,Sorry for the delay - study has been really hectic here of late.
I think I have everything updated to here.
I'm planning to read Diana Gabaldon's second book Dragonfly in Amber in June and July. Would anybody be interested in reading this book with over the two months?
Hello all! I want to read Lolita in September or October. Please let me know if somebody else wants to read it.
Annie wrote: "Hello!Would someone be interested in reading Frankenstein in June?
Thanks
Annie"
I think I can fit it in so I will read it Annie.
Anyone here willing to "buddy read" the song of ice and fire or the percy jackson series? Starting as soon as possible.
