terminallyRandom(Puss..... In Boots) | 2392 comments Maya shook her head and headed back to the bedroom, doing as he asked. Grumbling, she stuck her head inside the bedroom. It was relatively untouched. Hurricane crazy b*tch must have only gone for the main rooms "the bedrooms looking good" the cat said with satisfaction and made her way to the kitchen "don't forget that you are injured too. We both are" Maya took the broom from him "let's at least get you taken care of before we do anything else."

๖ۣۜƧilverlight The wolf sighed in relief, thinking at least some things had been spared. Nonetheless, many things needed replaced which meant a trip to town. "But-" He protested, but the ache of his shoulder made him cave. "Fine." Caleb headrd to the bathroom. Upon finding the bandages and proxide, he set then on the counter and unraveled the cloth. The bleeding had stopped yet, even with his healing ability, it woulf take days to close. "Could you..?" He needed help, though he was reluctant to admit it.

terminallyRandom(Puss..... In Boots) | 2392 comments Realizing what he meant, Maya nodded and grabbed the bottle "it doesn't look that bad..... It should heal nice and easy" the cat grabbed a wash cloth and dampened it with the peroxide, then began to carefully dab at the wound "At least it should if you don't do anything stupid..........." the corners of her mouth turned up. The cat kept up talking about meaningless things, like her travels across the country and such. The cat had a lot of opportunities to travel... Because... Reasons Just to give him something to focus on. Because it hurt like a son of a b*tch when he dumped the peroxide on her own gashes, so she could safely assume that it didn't feel all that good for him, either.

๖ۣۜƧilverlight Leaning against the counter, Caleb tugged up his sleeve; The wound wasn't particular deep but cut across his shoulder from the blade being yanked out. He watched her, distracted by her stormy eyes. He hadn't noticed before how- "Pretty," He breathed, face reddened in realization that he spoke outloud, "I-I mean, erm.." His head ducked. "Stupid? No idea what you're talking about." A soft, brief laugh escaped. He perked up as he listened to her stories, barley flinching. "I always wanted to travel." He admitted, glancing at the window, "Being in a pack, you don't go far beyond the territory." It'd been years since he had an adventure, always putting his pack-mates above himself. After being bandages, he drew away gently with a mumbled thanks. "How about dinner?" A small smile, "After I finish fixing the kitchen, I could make us something."

terminallyRandom(Puss..... In Boots) | 2392 comments Maya let out a laugh at his awkwardness, though a little redness tinted her face. " I believe you know exactly what I'm talking about" she said ..... "that might be true, but trust me, you don't want to travel, at least, not the way I did" seeing how intrigued and happy he was, the cat didn't want to ruin it by informing him that her way of traveling was running away from hazardous situations. After carefully wrapping Caleb up, Maya stood back to admire her handiwork. She did good. "dinner would be lovely."her eyes flicked up to meet his and she liked it when he smiled. It was a nice smile. A pretty smile " And I hope you mean after we finish fixing the kitchen." the cat saidas she crossed her arms in a sassy way that 'I mean it'. Because especially was full of sass and sarcasm. Naturally. "you should smile more often" she gave him her own bright genuine smile, one without freaky feline teeth, and grabbed a broom.

๖ۣۜƧilverlight Caleb kept his head bowed while they spoke, sneaking brief peeks at the she-cat. It wasn't like him to feel this uneased but he brushed it off as lingering anxiety over the attack. "Nope, I'm innocent." Of course he actaully knew, evident in the twinkle of his eyes. She seemed relucalnt to further talk of her adventures and he didn't prod despite his own curiousity. "You're still hurt, Maya. All that running - I just hope you didn't pop any stiches." He frowned, following her out into the hall. After grabbing a few rags, he went to the kitchen and began to again clean up. Once the counters had been cleared, he washed his hand and started prepping their meal. The rest could wait, he was starving.

terminallyRandom(Puss..... In Boots) | 2392 comments Maya rolled her eyes abd smiled "innocent. Surreeee" she smiled, secretly relieved that he didn't poke and prod. "and don't worry about me. I'm fine. Promise" she patted her side where the stitches in question resided. At this point they burned a little, and the cat could feel them tug at pull at every movement she made. But other than that, she was fine. While Caleb focused on the counters, Maya happily focused on the floor, sweeping up shattered glass and other debris. "so what are you going to make???"

๖ۣۜƧilverlight "I am!" Caleb protested playfully with a small smile. It felt nice being able to joke around without the tension that drove them apart mere hours prior. The house didn't seem as empty either, even it was wrecked. He hesitated, glancing at her doubtfully but knew she wouldn't listen to reason. "Just don't strain too much." Absently, he tugged his sleeve down over the bandages. After rummaging through the fridge, he placed out his items on the counter, and began to roll out dough. "After a day like this, I thought we deserved some pizza and pie." A sheepish look. He'd always had a fondness for cooking. "You can help if you want too." It would, at least, keep her from over-working.

terminallyRandom(Puss..... In Boots) | 2392 comments Maya laughed "yeah. I'm 'innocent' too" she said, putting quotations around the word 'innocent' to mess with him. It was nice, not having to worry about hiding anything and stuff like that. To reassure him, the cat began to sweep slowly "alow sweeps. Patient sweeps. I'm fine. I appreciate you worrying about me though" however the instant that Maya heard what he was going to make, she dropped the broom. Just dropped it. Left a lonely pile of dirt and everything"hellllllllllll yeeeeeeeeessssssssss" approving the counter, she watched him "what do you want me to do????"

๖ۣۜƧilverlight Caleb snuck side-glances at her, smiling down at his work at her sudden outburst. "Well," He paused thoughtfully, "Wash your hands. You can finish the dough while I make the sauce. I'll show you how." He dusted off his hand, and stepped aside to chop the spices. It wasntr often he made things from scratch despite finding it relaxing, a good distraction from a hard day. Reaching over to turn on the oven when he finished then returning to the dough. He set out a rolling iron and flour. "Flour keeps it from sticking. Just try to roll it out and flatten it. It doesnt have to be round if that's too hard."

terminallyRandom(Puss..... In Boots) | 2392 comments Maya obediently washed her hands and eyed the dough "I think I can handle it........." first she flattened the dough ball with her hands and picked it up, letting gravity pull at it and lengthen it and thin it out more before attacking it with a rolling pin. Damn thing didn't want to go round. Oh well. Rectangle pizza it is.... Except it didn't want to be a rectangle either "damn...... Whatdo I do after this????? Or is this the last thing you are waiting in and I'm holding everything up?????" she picked up the dough again and kept turning it "hang on.... Hang on...... Hang on....." she plopped it down, flattened it out a little more, even added a little crust to it "done" she smiled proudly

๖ۣۜƧilverlight Caleb suppressed laughter, amused by her antics. "It doesn't have to be perfect." So long as it was edible, he didn't mind the same. He blended the sauce, dipping a spoon in it to taste. Wrinkling his nose, he added a few more spices. Once done, he handed her the container. "It depends what you want on your pizza. Just no anchovies." He nudged her playfully. Artfully, he drizzled the sauce around, demonstrating how to smooth it around. Then handed her the spoon, and stepped aside to finish grinding up cheese. He slid the bowl of shredded cheese across the counter, moving to start his work on the pie. "You're not doing too bad." It was better than his first ever attempt, when he'd thrown the dough and got it stuck on the ceiling.

terminallyRandom(Puss..... In Boots) | 2392 comments Graciously taking the spoon, Maya started spreading more sauce on the pie "yes. Who wants salty salty tiny fish" she scrunched up her face and stuck out her tongue, like a child. "in reality..... Pepperoni and bacon. What toppings do you want?????" Maya asked and spooned more sauce onto the dough. It wasn't as graceful as when Caleb did it, and she somehow managed to not make a mess or get sauce on her shirt. That was a plus. When he slid the cheese across the counter, she snatched a few pinches and grinned " mmmm mm.... Cheesy." the cat said and scooted aside to give Caleb more room to work

๖ۣۜƧilverlight Caleb nudged her with his elbow playfully, "I thought all felines were fond of fish?" A perk of his brow. Poking his tongue back at her and peeking over at her work in admiration. "At this rate, I could eat almost anything." He stuck the pie into the oven. Stepping beside of her, he leant his elbow against the counter, and waved a package of pepperoni in front of her. "Don't burn the house down." He set it down in front of her, then slipped out from the kitchen to began picking up in the living room.

((Should we skip a bit? Maybe to when he leaves to town, to get his pack-mates.))

terminallyRandom(Puss..... In Boots) | 2392 comments ((I don't see why not you want to start it off or do you want me to do it? ))
Maya smacked his arm playfully "hey, don't knock my awesome pizza making skills. You are just jealous" loading the pie with pepperoni, humming pleasantly to herself. "NO PROMISES" she shouted after him waiting until he was out of the room and otherwise occupied before munching on the leftover pepperoni slices. Maya would try to restrain herself from eating all of it, but would ultimately fail. The cat just really loved pepperoni

๖ۣۜƧilverlight ((I'll start))

"Promise me you'll stay inside. No matter what you hear, keep hidden until I return." Caleb repeated; Just as he had the entire morning. Anxious about leaving her alone despite an uneventful nught, even more so of his pack-mates being near. There hadn't been any sign of their attacker in hours, but unease prickled down his spine. "If anythjng happens..." A shake of his head. Maybe he was getting attached. Drawing on a loose coat, he turned to glance at her a final time. "Anything goes wrong, you.could always pretend to be my human girlfriend." A playful, forced smile. His scent.might be enough to cover hers, seeing as she'd stolen many of his clothes lately. He took a deep breath a.nd headed for the door but paused with his hand avainsg the knob. Was he doing the rught thing? An intruder, a threat like the white wolf, mught cause them more trouble if she got close again. Taking a deep bresth to calm his worry. Telling himself Maya would be fine, it was only.for an hour or two.

terminallyRandom(Puss..... In Boots) | 2392 comments Maya nodded "stay inside, even if it sounds like the world is ending. You don't have to worry" she gave him a pretty convincing grin, despite the fact that her anxieties from early yesterday were attempting to resurface. The instant he turned around, however, the smile dropped off her face. God, if only he could stay.... If only she listened to him the first time, if only if only. Letting out a laugh, the cat followed him to the door "yeah..." Caleb was nervous about it too. That much was apparent "look... I'll be fine, OK???? Promise. You'll come back, we won't see psycho bitch again, and everything will be OK. Got it???" maya said reassuringly, despite feeling exactly as he did on the inside

๖ۣۜƧilverlight Caleb flashed another small, reassuring smile at the she-cat before the door swung open and he stepped out onto the small porch. Struck by the cold wind that sent a shiver down his spine, and brought the promising smell of rain. Dark clouds coiled overhead. He welcomed the storm, hoping it would wash away Maya's scent. Doubtful the strange wolf would be found; She'd had plenty of time to escape. Caleb swung down from the porch, his paws striking onto the hard ground. A few sniffs, then he was weaving between the trees, feeling the rustle of his brown pelt. Slowing only as he approached the cluster of cabins at the heart of their land. His breathes were heavy, ears prickled for the normal chatter of his fellow pack-mates. As he padded into the village, he heard the shouts of children playing in the wide clearing. Warmth spilled through him, seeing the bustle of people. Only to be stifled by the fact that he had come bearing bad news. Ignoring the greetings and gazes that followed him, he cut across the clearing, towards the home of the alpha and his mate.

terminallyRandom(Puss..... In Boots) | 2392 comments ((sorry I haven't replied, it's been a long week))
Maya stared at the door after he left, then let out a string of curses before picking up the broom and continuing where she left off last night. It was quiet throughout the entire house, the type of quiet that seemed to have weight and made her ears ring. The cat swept and tried to keep herself distracted but her eyes kept going back to the door. She had no idea how long he would be, so there was no point in driving herself crazy about it. Sweep sweep sweep. Sweep sweep - the cat threw down the broom in disgust and plopped down on the couch, blowing out a sigh. It was going to be a long day

๖ۣۜƧilverlight ((Do you want to skip awhile, until Caleb retuens? Or have someone find Maya, or something?))

terminallyRandom(Puss..... In Boots) | 2392 comments ((what I'd someone found Maya, then brought her to the alpha while Caleb was still there??))

๖ۣۜƧilverlight ((That could work, but how would they find her? Would we just say they saw them and are just now coming forward about it? Maybe, a while back, when Caleb thought he sensed someone, it could be that person and now that Caleb has left the house, they move in to grab Maya.))

terminallyRandom(Puss..... In Boots) | 2392 comments ((it could also be someone who has motive. Like a snob who also ways tries to impress the alpha or someone who really hates Caleb

๖ۣۜƧilverlight ((Yeah, we could say it's someone trying to get Caleb kicked out of the pack, because Caleb is favored more by the alpha pair than they are; And just so happened to be around the area when Caleb took Maya into his cabin. I'll post in a minute.))

๖ۣۜƧilverlight Caleb sensed something was wrong as he bound up the steps leading to the large cabin near the end of the village. The slight rustle of the curtains caught his eye, gone just as quickly when his head swung around. His ears folded back, but he brushed off his sudden unease as paranoia from the recent loner attack. The door creaked before he had the chance to shift. Greeted by the even, hostile gaze of the alpha male, who opened the door wider to allow him inside.

Drake remained crouched within the underbrush, concealed in the shadows by long, ebony fur. His ears twitched as he listened to the fading steps of his brown pack-mate. Jaws parted to drink in the staling scents. Caleb only made this so much easier - No longer needing to be lured from the cabin. Instead, he was clampering right into the trap set. Of course, the white wolf never would of tracked them on her own. A beautiful girl, indeed; It'd been a shame to despose of her. But she'd outlived her use, and Drake didn't like loose ends. Espically those who stood in his way of becoming alpha. For months, Caleb had done just that - Always winning favorism. And what for? Drake bit back a snarl as he slunked out from the tree-line. Towards the cabin.

terminallyRandom(Puss..... In Boots) | 2392 comments Done with the sweeping, Maya lounged on the couch, nervously tapping on the couch. How long was this supposed to take????? Sighing, she sank deeper into the couch and kicked her feet up onto the coffee table. Maybe if she just slept a little...... Not. The cat jumped up nervously and ran a hand along her bandaged ribs. That stupid little voice that kept rejoicing something could go wrong just refused to shut up. She plopped down on the couch again and ran a hand through her hair. This pattern was sure to repeat until Caleb came back

๖ۣۜƧilverlight As his paws struck the dark wood, Drake paused long enough to change forms. Lean and tall, he was bathed in dark atture. Black hair trickled down his forehead, and he wore a look ot smug satisfaction. This was his moment. Not bothering to sneak about anymore, he tried the door. Too his amusement, it was unlocked. He allowed himself in, mismatch eyes taking in the sight of the pacing cat before him. Then, suddenly, he lounged forward to grab her forearm. "Caleb's in danger," He breathed, brows pinched in concern. "They-they're going to.. going to kill him." Always the performer, the actor.

terminallyRandom(Puss..... In Boots) | 2392 comments Maya bit back a feral snarl that would have made any man run for the hills when he grabbed her arm. Then let it loose, her heart plummeting and her blood slowly turning to ice. In her minds eyes, she saw a glimmer of a smile, heard the sound of a gun goimg off. It couldn't happen again... It couldn't happen again. She grabbed the front of his shirt and pulled him close, hissing "where is he?????, where the hell is he??" some logical part of her mind tried to whisper something, but she shoved it away. If Caleb ended up getting hurt.... She felt weak and shaky, but felt like screaming. It was weird

๖ۣۜƧilverlight Anger flickered within the wolf's belly when she growled at him, but suppressed the urge to hurl her into the wall. Soon enough. Forced to bite his tongue, he met her gaze in false panick. "I can take you to him. But I don't know if it's... if it's too late." Tearing away from her grasp, he turned to conceal the twitch of his lips. It was almost too easy, killing two birds with one stone. After being rid of the pesty Caleb, he would be regarded a hero - A favorite among the alphas. A vitaul puzzle piece if he were to ever achieve leaderships. "Hurry!" Upon reaching the entrance, he shifted. The black wolf darting in the direction of the town, a mere shadow among the trees. It's not a complete lie. A silent muse, Once they realize I was right, they might just kill him after all.

terminallyRandom(Puss..... In Boots) | 2392 comments She stared after him after he shifted and darted out the house. That logical part started nagging again, but she shook it off with the shift. Unlike other times, It. Fucking. Hurt. Her skin was stretched in all sorts of directions, bringing another snarl to life. Then it was done, and she chased after the black wolf. Maya had no idea what she was going to do when they got there, but right now she concentrated on treading lightly. She could not let him die. She could not let him die. She could not let him die. That single thought chased through her mind, the same was she chased the black wolf through the woods

๖ۣۜƧilverlight The feline was weak; Drake had been able to tell the moment his eyes lay on her. It was written in the way she moved. Although impatiently, he slowed enough for her to keep up. His ears twitched as they neared the cabins, catching a glimpse of grey fur among the trees. Skidding to a halt, Dark whirled around and howed. Two more wolves pooled out from the underbrush, approaching the she-cat with lowered heads and bared teeth. From somewhere behind them, appeared a tawny she-wolf, to which Drake reluctantly dipped his head too. The Luna, mate of the alpha, disregarded him with a glance, instead approaching the intruder. Such fuss, over little more than a kitten.

terminallyRandom(Puss..... In Boots) | 2392 comments Maya skidded to a stop when he started howling. Then she realized how much of an idiot she had been when the other wolves came from the underbrush. That little logical part of her started screaming. How did he know she was in the cabin? Who told Drake she was there??? What the hell was she thinking, chasing some wolf while she was injured and Caleb was gone??? Oh what the heeellllllll had she been thinking? The cat's ears went all the way back, crouching low to the ground and nervously licking her lips as she eyed the new wolf. Even with her mind frantically racing, Maya could tell she was important. And that was bad. Obviously a bigger threat than the wolf next to her, though her eyes continuously flicked between them.

๖ۣۜƧilverlight If wolves could smirk, Drake would have. There was a smugness in his eyes as they swept over her. Pathetic cats. Where's your nine lives now? He wanted to spat at her, but a single glance from the tawny wolf silenced even his low growls. The luna bowed her head from where she stood in front of Maya, touching her nose to the younger's forehead. Then she rose, signaling with a wave of her tail. The two wolves on either side of Maya pushed her forehead; Ramming their muzzle against her, nipping at her sides and legs. They crossed through the small village. No longer filled by laughter and light;, Rather small children peeked out fearfully from windows, older wolves stared hostility on their porches. As the she-wolf stepped on the steps of her home, she shifted. An older woman, with sandy hair, and startlingly pale eyes. "It's wise to shift. We have much to talk about, cat." She said cooly without looking back.

terminallyRandom(Puss..... In Boots) | 2392 comments Maya yelped and snarled viciously at the wolves when they nipped too closely too the stitches in her side. After all that had happened she was surprised they hadn't ripped open, what with the sifting and running for her life and all that. And stress. Lots of it. Walking through the town and feeling all the eyes on her like a bright target was painted on her back being an example of said stress. It was like they had weight, and maya padded through the village, trying her best to ignore the hostile glares. She was failing. The cat was actually almost relieved when they reached the house..until it was time to face reality and shift. Normally shifting was as easy as blinking, as natural as breathing. Now, it hurt to even think about it. But she did it anyway, it was painful as she remembered and awkward, the effort leaving her almost breathless as she leaned against the porch. Oh she couldn't wait for her wounds to get better, if she lived that long "I bet we do"

๖ۣۜƧilverlight The inside of the cabin was relatively vacant, except for the middle aged man reclined in a large armchair. Another figure resided across the room, an ice pack pressed against his swollon, bruising cheek. When he noticed Maya, Caleb sat up and groaned. It was a miracle they hadn't killed him, let alone her. But the alphas seemes curious. He had yet to determine if that would work in their favor. One of the men, who had shifted alongside Maya, shoved her past the threshold, into the living room. "I recommend you take a seat, and stay still." Spoke the she-wolf, who went over to perch gracefully on the arm of the chair containing her mate. "If you do, you'll be chased down like, well, a cat." She smiled softly. "She should be grateful i haven't done just that. Explain to me," Caleb winced when the alpha male spoke, "Exactly what you are doing in wolf territory? I expected more from a member of my own pack than to take in strays." He glared between them.

terminallyRandom(Puss..... In Boots) | 2392 comments Maya stumbled when the wolf shoved her over the threshold and slowly, carefully lowered herself into a chair. Ignoring the comments seemed like a better option. She was terrified enough as it was. Getting stared down by both the Luna anndddddd the alpha. Stuff of nightmares. At least Caleb was there. She blinked when the alpha started speaking, and fidgeted nervously. "I got chased down by another wolf pack, and I wasn't fast enough. At least at first I wasnt. I didn't even realize I was in another packs territory. I just wanted to stop the bleeding. Caleb was the only one who helped me"

๖ۣۜƧilverlight There was a fiery lit in the eyes of the alpha, opposed of the calm exterior of his amused mate. The she-wolf strung a gentle yet firm arm around the man as he lounged forward. Settling back in the chair, the alpha waited until his temper had somewhat calmed to speak. Even so, his voice was strained by anger, "Your kind is not welcomed here. I assumed my wolves would be aware of this, but it seems I was mistaken." He shot a bitter glance at Caleb who stirred uneasily from where he slumped on the couch. "However, we are not murders. I will have a pair of wolves escort you to the edge of our territory tomorrow morning-"

"You can't!" Caleb drew himself upright; The ice-pack deposited on the cushion behind him. Although aware this gave her means of escape, a selfish part of him couldn't bare to watch her slip away. A painful lump weighed in his chest at the idea. He swallowed, his eyes filtered towards the cat. Of course she would want to go, wouldn't she? "Let me escort her." A mere whisper.

terminallyRandom(Puss..... In Boots) | 2392 comments Maya did not even let herself flinch. He was just another angry person, she told herself. Over her lifetime, the cat encountered lots of angry, snapping things. Foster father's, strangers she didn't know, even other wolves when she wandered to close their territory. Even her real parents. Maya pushed the thought out of her head. No nope. Not going to happen. But at least they were letting her go.... With nowhere to live. And defenseless. Her gaze snapped to Caleb, and she striaghtened. God..... A lump formed in her throat. Why did that sound like the best idea ever??? Then she realized it was him, or some other wolf who wouldn't be so friendly. Crossing her fingers, the cat didn't even want to look at the alpha right now. She was sort of expecting exploding rage
