New feature on GoodReads

When I was going through and changing passwords last week because of Heartbleed, I noticed that my Amazon and Goodreads accounts were magically and mysteriously linked. On Twitter, Goodreads asked me if I'd accessed Goodreads via my Kindle, which I did once just to see what happened. I realized I didn't want the two linked and hadn't done it again. But that one action made my Amazon account info link to Goodreads--which is potentially very dangerous if you have credit card info stored on Amazon. (I don't now.) You might want to check your settings here if you don't want these two accounts linked.

I don't see any linking option in my profile….so when I get my new Kindle tomorrow, I should do what so they don't link it to GoodReads?

I just went to my settings on amazon & the only 2 linked options are for Facebook & Twitter & I am not linked to either via Amazon

Don't access Goodreads from your new Kindle if you don't want them linked. It would be nice if they'd tell you the implications of using Goodreads on your Kindle but I guess that's probably why they don't. :)

ok-I guess I won't do that, but I don't even use the same email for Amazon & GR, how would they link?

I don't either--I'm guessing I had to sign in to GR account from my Kindle. It's been a while since I did it so I don't remember the process.
