History: Vivi was born in LA California. She spent most of her life switching between living with her mother and her father who divorced shortly after her seventh birthday. Vivi didn't mind the separation much and just saw it as a way to see more of California, her home. At the age of eleven she met her friend, Zephyrine. They soon became best friends. Vivi was something of a rebellious child. She grew up with her friend under the aspirations of becoming movie stars.
When they reached high school they only worsened in their refusal to follow their parents orders. At the age of sixteen they were ready to leave their homes and go adventure. They pooled their money together and bought a Volkswagen van. Together with their boyfriends they went out on a roadtrip, leaving against their parents will to go explore what lay outside their hometown. They drove along the coasts, living in cheap motels and partying on their journey toward self discovery.
Vivi had just turned seventeen when they reached a nice cove. They decided to stay for a few weeks. After two weeks they found themselves in the midst of a coming storm. Their boyfriends left in the van to go get supplies when they decided they would leave early and get back on the road. While they were gone a large storm hit The Pink Motel where the girls were staying and washed the entire building, along with them into the waters.
Since then Vivi has remained along the mystical coast, living within the sunken ruins of The Pink Motel and continuing to live as the life of the party even now.

Jack Moriarty was the young father of Vivi. He was twenty and in the middle of college when he met Elizabeth and fell in love. Their love was short lived as she ended up pregnant and was forced to leave school. They got a small apartment where they could both work. Jack was forced to leave school as they neared the birth date of their child. He got a job at the local factory beside his college and paid for most of their living. He continued to work until his daughter's seventh birthday when he decided he wanted to return to college and continue pursuing his dreams of becoming an animation director. He died at the age of 57 from a heart attack.

Elizabeth Jane was just out of high school when she got pregnant. She decided to abandon her dreams of college in order to care for her child. She continued to pursue becoming an author and searched for anyone willing to publish her works. When her daughter was born she lessened her search to publish her book. When her daughter left she not only found a publisher to publish her original book but also to publish a novel she wrote on losing her child and the search for her missing child. She died at the age of 60 as a fairly acclaimed and wealthy author.

Vivi's brother, Jeremy Walker was adopted a few years before she left. Jeremy was attached to Vivi but they were never particularly close with each other. When Vivi dissapeared Jeremy became an emancipated minor and took on searching for his sister once he joined the police force, first as an intern then continued through. He took on many missing cases over the year and helped bring dozens of missing children home to their families but never managed to discover what happened to his sister. He died at the age of 37, just after being married and having his first child. He was shot and killed in a hostage situation.

History: Ariel was born to two very conservative mermaids that are fairly high up in the royal court. Her father is an adviser to the King and her mother is a lady of the court. She is the youngest of four siblings and the most over looked. Ariel was always expected to act in a certain way. She was expected to be polite and polished at all times and not show her emotions. She hated it. Ariel wished for freedom away from the rules and regulations of the court. She never outwardly showed how she felt about everything. She just hide behind a mask as it wasn't worth people looking down on her for it.She longed from freedom and couldn't wait until she was old enough to start going out on her own.
At 10 years old she found her first shipwreck near her home and fell in love with exploring. She found all kinds of crazy things like strange clothing and items like forks. She was curious about how owned these things and dug deeper. She found out about the human race and found pout everything she could about them. She was intrigued as they were so different from them but yet so similar as well. She really wants to sneak on land but can't becuase of the curse. She may be reckless but she wasn't going to run the risk of the curse being more than an old wives tale.

She knows how to keep her temper and is the model daughter for her parents. Rose is 21 and the rebel of the group of sisters, she never does as she is told and is always out when she shouldn't be. Lia is 18 and is the beauty of the group. She is a flirt and knows how to get what she wants from men. She can just flutter her eye lashes and men come running.
Their parents are Coral and Lucian Clearwater. Coral is fairly strict with her daughter's and wants them to all be perfect little girls but she does love them. Her favourite of the girls is Elizabeth. She is also always trying to marry them off. Lucian is a workaholic and is away at the castle a lot. He rarely sees his children but he is more lenient than his wife with them. He also knows about Ariel's exploring but never lets on that he knows about it. He likes his younger two children the best.

[Background Information]
History: Caroline-Rose was born into a small family of four. She was born after the curse so she has never experience being a human which is why she is so accustommed to mermaid life. They lived near the Royal Palace, but it was quite a quiet area so they moved to somewhere closer to all of the other merpeople.

When she was 16, she became interested in exploring and adventures, so she went exploring almost every day. She only recalls getting lost once, but she eventually found her way after a couple of hours, so her parents never suspected anything. She is always tempted to go on human land, but doesn't want to risk it in case that part of the curse is true.

His brother did a good job of raising, but as a kid he wasn't exactly the best kid which didn't have too much of a great influence in his younger brother. Chris used to be a good kid then when he became slightly rebellious. However Chris and his brother are really close and love each other a lot. Having grown up together made them closer than ever, so not only is Alex Chris's brother he's also his best friend. Alex is the one person Chris actually trusts. However, as they both grew older they haven't exactly been the closest. They still love each other, it's just that Alex hasn't had the time to be with Chris as much as he used to be. That's okay with Chris seeing that he's also growing up and he doesn't need someone watching over him, at least not usually. >:).

When he was about 12 a human boat came and started to dumb trash into the ocean then dive around looking for things. Out of fear he swap up to the small boat and robbed it of its contents then swam back to his village.
When he was around 15 his family dis-owned him for his behavior towards human and some of the actions he had made against them. He then swam around the oceans until he found another place to call home.

Unlike every other mermaid, Thea's 'good' side is non-existant. Thea is most possibly the most wicked, sadistic, and devious mermaid alive. Her enjoyment comes from other peoples pain, and the only person she has ever cared about besides her daughter was killed. She takes a sick joy in tricking people and loves to ruin everyone's day. Thea seems like an emotionless b*tch who only ever shows sick joy or anger, she has deep emotions. Her love for her daughter and old fiance is beyond large and she would do anything for her daughter. Thea is insanely stubborn and flirtatious, often being known for sleeping around. [Background Information]
History: Theadora was born on a dark winter night in the middle of the ocean. Her mother left newborn Thea i the middle of the ocean, where she was found by a young Mermaid named Chantelle. Chantelle raised Thea as her own child, not telling Thea that her mother had left her until Thea had reached the age of 12. The news left Thea feeling unwanted and left her heart bitter. Theadora spent the next 3 years of her life looking for her birth mother, and eventually found her. Thea was so enraged by her mothers reason for leaving, she killed her birth mother and kept it a secret, returning to Chantelle as if nothing had happened- but Thea was different, darker, more bitter, and Chantelle noticed. Chantelle learned what Thea had done and was going to tell, which made Thea believe she had to keep her secret. Thea killed Chantelle, her best friend and the only mother she had ever known, in order to keep her secret. The blood of two innocent women drove Theadora insane, leaving her an empty shell.
When Thea was 17 she met merman Daniel, and was instantly under his spell. Daniel and Thea fell in love almost instantly and the two became fiances. Only a month after they got engaged, Thea became pregnant. Daniel and Thea were beyond happy and everything went well until one day. The two were swimming and they happened across Thea's birth moms best friend. The lady knew Theadora had killed the mom, and told Daniel. Enraged by this, Thea attacked the lady, only to have Daniel get injured by the mermaid. He died in a matter of minutes. History: Beau was born on October 1st in Florida to his mother Chantelle. Beau grew up in the oceans of Florida with his 2 sisters, Thalia and Sadie. When Thea was adopted everything became a bit more complicated, and for a while Beau was the only one that really cared about Thea. History: Her tribe, called the Lorelies, are notorious for their singing capabilities and their great beauty... in reality, the mermaids are incredible pirates. They use their beautiful voices and send up their most angelic looking girls to lure cruise ships and shipping barges into deadly atolls and coral reefs so they can get the loot that falls below. As a result, the Lorelies are the richest of the mermaid tribes. Kendi was conceived soon after her tribe made a Carnival Cruise ship sink into the Pacific from Hana Acuna and Mattais Occampo (The Lorelies take the woman's last name when they marry).

Kendi had a wonderful childhood. During the juvenile years of a Lorelie's life, they spend their time in green kelp forests and shallow watered areas in atolls and other islands, similar to that of a seal's. Kendi lounged around a small island in the Tubbatta reef. She spent her days adventuring and messing with sailors. The clear water seas and the diverse population of fish made the island a paradise for her.

When she got older, her tribe migrated with the warm water. Kendi lived off of the ivory coast, South Africa, and Indonesia. That is until, Kendi got lost more than usual. During the journeys, she had multiple run ins with humans; she was almost captured in a net and had been brushed by harpooners in the Pacific ocean. Her exhausted parents couldn't put up her. After she was distracted by a small rowboat that contained survivors from the latest cruise ship they crashed onto the rocks, her tribe quickly ditched her. For once in her life, Kendi was all on her own. She befriended the humans and asked them to direct her to the nearest island, which happened to be the Shadowcrest Island. Upon reaching there, she lost all memory of humans and continued to live on her own, the sole member of her tribe in the entire island.
