Myst | 46 comments In chapter 12, Harry references 'damned forshadowing' regarding the address Helen gave him in the previous chapter.

Where did twenty-fourth terrace get referenced before?

Bear IV (beariv) | 156 comments Who has Namshiel?

Madderakka | 43 comments Myst, it's been a long time, but I think the foreshadowing was in reference to the street being a Dead End:

"Next to the customized street sign was a standard road sign declaring Twenty-fourth Terrace a dead end.

‘Damned foreshadowing,’ I muttered."

I think Michael took Namshiel's coin - he chopped off the hand that was holding it and took it with him. If that's the case, it's either with the church or with Tessa or Nicodemus if someone inside has been handing the coins back to them.

Bear IV (beariv) | 156 comments When Mike woke up, the hand was missing....Unless Sonya is lying...
I had an idea the other day. Maybe Thorned Namshiel was plant like? maybe he moved his consciousness to his hand and escaped?
Who was all on the Copter? Hendricks & Sygrund and who?

Poindexter | 9 comments Ah, I haven't gotten that far in my re-read.

Luccio was also in the helicopter. It's highly possible that she took it when she was being mind-controlled.

Yes, I took it that way too. Loved it! Great moment where Harry kind of turns to us for a second.

I would question why Marcone would take a coin in the helicopter when he still refused to take one after being tortured for days.

message 10: by Codetoast (new)

Codetoast | 12 comments He could have taken it but not touched it. Knowing marcone, he wouldn't want to be controlled by any fallen, or anyone for that matter, however, he may wish to have a coin up his sleeve if he ever needed a power boost. Or he thinks he can handle it better than the church. Put it in a vault somewhere, where no-one can get to it ;).
The coins however are meant to be in circulation, wouldn't be surprised if someone has tried to use it in a vending machine.
