The Sword and Laser discussion
If you could change something about the book club audio episodes it would be....

But, I wonder whether the authors would like to suggest one or two links (whether to their websites, their publishers' sites, excerpts on Amazon, short stories, press about them, whatever) that could be posted before the podcast to sort of introduce themselves. I generally google the authors before listening to the podcast but that doesn't tell me what the author thinks would be a good entrance point to their work and I've found I generally enjoy the interview much more after reading something they've written.

All audio is separate at http://swordandlaser.com/?category=po...
However I think what you're saying is you want the episodes that are not available as video to be separated.
But we also have people who have complained when the audio from video episodes has not been included in the audio podcast feed.
And we're starting to use Google Hangout on the book club episodes as well, so those will have video as they did this week.
So essentially what we're moving towards is all episodes being available in both video and audio in an effort to let you choose which type you want.
Overall the idea is we do a book club every other week and then fill in the off weeks with interviews sometimes. And all of those available in audio or video every time.

Today I loaded up episode #172 expecting a standard format podcast with the usual segments. Instead I got the audio fr..."
Oh... I feel silly now. I guess I didn't get in far enough to discover that. :( My mistake.

Well, if each was available in either format, it would certainly make things simpler. I'll bare the other comments in mind too, and thanks for all the clarification, guys. I can be somewhat stupid sometimes. :P
Also, sorry if my comment sounded a little unfair, as Ben suggested. It was just something that mixed me up at times, and I figured the feedback might be helpful. T&V are, of course, awesome, and do an excellent job with the website, forum, podcasts, video shows, plots to rule the world etc.

Otherwise, I agree with Ben's comment. I don't see the confusion some are having between the book club and author podcasts.
EDIT: Would, it be simplest to say (as a general rule) that odd numbered podcasts are book club episodes and even numbered ones are author interviews?
