Dawn Witzke (witzkedm) | 1 comments I rarely read books more than once even if I love them. The vampire novel, Honor At Stake by Declan Finn, on the other hand is a book that I've already read twice since August and I'll likely read it again.

Of course, I can read Pride and Prejudice over and over. Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

I'm obsessed with The Master The Master (The Game Maker, #2) by Kresley Cole

I've re-read The Host and could read it again. The Host (The Host, #1) by Stephenie Meyer And when is she going to write a new book already?

And I have re-read the Fever series The Fever Series by Karen Marie Moning

There are more, but I'll leave it at that for now.

Kitty-Lydia Dye | 12 comments 20 Fragments of a Ravenous Youth by Xiaolu Guo

This is the first one that comes to mind. The main character just feels so real and the writing really flows.

message 56: by Amyiw (last edited Aug 15, 2021 09:26PM) (new)

Amyiw | 177 comments I'm a big re-reader and I would have to say that my go to is
Patricia Briggs and her
Mercy Thompson and Alpha and Omega
Moon Called (Mercy Thompson, #1) by Patricia Briggs & Cry Wolf (Alpha & Omega, #1) by Patricia Briggs
I've re-read these more than any others

I've also done re-reads of these series at multiple time
Magic Bites (Kate Daniels, #1) by Ilona Andrews , Slave to Sensation (Psy-Changeling, #1) by Nalini Singh , A Hunger Like No Other (Immortals After Dark, #1) by Kresley Cole , & Hounded (The Iron Druid Chronicles, #1) by Kevin Hearne

But I frequently go to historical romance for my re-reads also
some of my favorite there that have been re-read at least twice
If You Deceive (MacCarrick Brothers, #3) by Kresley Cole ,& Slightly Dangerous (Bedwyn Saga, #6) by Mary Balogh

message 59: by Amyiw (new)

Amyiw | 177 comments I just reread a couple of the Nighthuntress and really enjoyed the reread. I'll probably do the whole series.

message 60: by Kayci (new)

Kayci | 35 comments The Fever series by Karen Marie Moning... or the Highlander series by Karen Marie Moning... Her books are addictive!

message 61: by Amyiw (new)

Amyiw | 177 comments I loved the Highlander series (not so much book 2). Currently reading the Fever series with a series read along. Hasn't hooked me though Faefever (the one I am currently reading has really become interesting in more ways than one. I've re-read Kiss of the Highlander, The Dark Highlander, The Immortal Highlander and Spell of the Highlander. She is actually part of the reason I read paranormal and UF today as I read the novella in Tapestry and went on to read Kenyon, which led me to Cole and Singh, and then Briggs and Andrews in the UF genre. So I really have a spot for Moning on my shelf.

message 62: by Kayci (new)

Kayci | 35 comments She was the Author that introduced me to the genre, so I have a bit of a soft spot for her as well! I have the Highlander series in (much loved) paperbacks... which have seen better days!
I read Faefever before the next book (Dreamfever?) was released.. and with that cliffhanger ( not sure how far into it you are!)... I was so cranky! I hope you enjoy the series read long!

message 63: by Marie (new)

message 64: by Amyiw (new)

Amyiw | 177 comments I don't know if I ever can re-read Ash's book. I know I probably will some day all the same but the emotions.... I would never use it as a to go book,... maybe the 2nd half. I loved it but so harsh and emotional.

message 65: by Jim (new)

Jim | 152 comments I will reread A Prayer for Owen Meany at least once a year. There is just something about the characters that touches me and I find the story to be very compelling. Too bad the movie adaptation was so crappy.

message 66: by Rebecca (new)

message 67: by Annika (new)

Annika | 2 comments I like to do re-reads when I'm in some kind of book-slump. A book I love is most likely to get me out of it, so why not go back to something I've enjoyed in the past?
My go to books are Karen Lynch's Relentless series which I've read at least 5 times, and A.&E. Kirk's Divinicus Nex Chronicles.

Ilona Andrews yessssss

message 95: by Jun (last edited Oct 01, 2017 12:52AM) (new)

Jun Prince (authorjunprince) | 4 comments I have a lot of them. Every so often I hit about 3 new books in a row that result in row where my mind wanders within the first 1-2 hours of an audio book, and I start to wonder if the problem is me or the writing. When that happens, I almost always go back to tried and true favorites to see if it's my head or the writing that's the problem.

Here's my list of enduring favorites:
Anything Harry Potter (Goblet of Fire->Deathly Hallows)
Drew Hayes (Recent Novels, Super Powereds, Villain's Code, etc)
Haruki Murakami (Almost any of his full length novels except 1Q84... that one was too repetitive for me. I like the Sheep Man series and Wind Up Bird Chronicle. He does brilliant quirky female characters.)
Stephen King (11.22.63)
Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson (The Wheel of Time - Mostly books at the end of the series)
Brandon Sanderson (Most of his books, especially Mistborn and Stormlight Archive novels)
Old School Mercedes Lackey (unfortunately her newer books haven't been doing it for me)

message 100: by Nerdy Werewolf (last edited Dec 06, 2017 05:17AM) (new)

Nerdy Werewolf (nerdywerewolf) I rarely reread series. I just read them and move on. I always expect to reread them in the future if I liked them, though...

The only two series I've read more than once (so far) are:
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Harry Potter, #1) by J.K. Rowling and Unholy Ghosts (Downside Ghosts, #1) by Stacia Kane

We're not counting comics are we (graphic novels)?
