Tricky, tricky author! (view spoiler) I recommend the audio version of this book. The narrator is good and they're fast reads. The world building is great and it's a fresh approach instead of the typical NA paranormal plots. I will definitely be reading book 3 soon.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

Book: Hearts Aflame (Haardrad Viking Family #2) by Johanna Lindsey
Read: 05-May-2014
Rating: ★★★★
Review:
This book follows Brenna and Garrick's only daughter as she secretly joins her brother and friends on a trading trip that is in fact a raiding party. The raid goes wrong and they are captured by Saxons. And the history repeats itself when the slave falls in love with her owner.
I liked the book, but not nearly as much as the story of Kristen's parents.

Book: Anansi Boys (American Gods #2) by Neil Gaiman
Read: 06-May-2014

this was an interesting book. It was about fat Charlie who just lost his dad. His dad was not a traditional dad he was the trickster god. I truly enjoy the different characters in the book. I also enjoy the mythology aspect put in the modern day environment. Will pick up the next book in the series.

Tapply, William Client Privilege
When his client, a judge, is blackmailed, Attorney Brady Coyne agrees to act as a go-between. Hours later the blackmailer is murdered. Suspecting the judge, but unable to reveal his involvement, Brady investigates to clear his own name and strikes dirt.

We can read a 31st, first in a series, third in a series, a standalone, or the alternate set in New York.

I'm reading a first in a series

Done :) Your book is on my list for this month but I'll use

I'll be waiting for your review and opinion on this book.

What an unbelievably great book! I don't read much from this genre but this blew me away. I couldn't put it down. Loved David and Ev they were great, the romance was great, and I loved Mal. I don't know why I waited so long to read this. I'll be reading Mal's book very soon! Definitely would recommend this book!

Book: Captured by the Highlander (Highlander Trilogy #1) by Julianne MacLean
Read: 09-May-2014
Rating: ★★★★★
Review:
Usually when I read a highlander book it's set in medieval times and highlanders fight and hate the English. This book is set in 18th century and it was quite a change to meet highlanders who still hate the English but now fight with pistols as well as axes.
I really liked this book and I think it's a great start to a new series and I'll be reading next book very soon.

Book: Knit One, Kill Two by Maggie Sefton
Read: 10-May-2014
Rating: ★★★
Review:
This book was an okay read. It is the first book of the A Knitting Mystery series. It is about Kelly Flynn who has to come to a small town to take care of her murdered aunt house and wrap up some loose ends. This book is Kelly along with her aunt knitting friends trying to find out who killed her aunt. The mystery is pretty predicable but the characters are nice. However I seem to like the supporting characters more then the main characters in this one.

Been gone all day and then dinner and a concert. I thought I put it in when i finished it yeesterday
MacDonald, Patricia Girl Next Door
Fifteen years ago Nina Avery returned home from her first date to find her mother dead and her father trying to shield her from the carnage. After an investigation Nina's father Douglas, a well respected medical doctor, is charged with the crime and found guilty of second degree murder. Her brother Jimmy, an alcoholic and drug addict, was placed in the care of neighbors where he straightened his life out, her older brother Patrick went on to college and married and had two children. Nina stood by her father while trying to find acting jobs in New York City. At a parole hearing Jimmy fails to show up, Patrick speaks out against him and Nina does all in her power to get the board to let her father go free. Parole is granted and Douglas who swears he is innocent returns to the scene of the crime to find evidence that would exonerate him. Before he can find out anything he is murdered but someone made it look like suicide. With the help of the prison doctor, Nina takes up where her father left off and finds herself in danger from a killer she has known for almost two decades.

Book: Serpent's Kiss (Elder Races #3) by Thea Harrison
Read: 12-May-2014
Rating: ★★★★
Review:
I quite like this series but somehow I'm not thrilled to read the books. I can say that Serpent's Kiss finally cured me of that and I'll be reading the next book very soon.
I really liked how this book wasn't so much about suspense and action and more about romance between Rune and Carling.

This is the final novel in the Truth series. All that stands between Lester Ray Barnes and the state of Florida's death chamber is a judge's signature. He is sentenced to die for the rape and murder of a young woman, his conviction hinging on two pieces of evidence: DNA testing and an eyewitness who placed him at the scene. But when the story breaks that the DNA testimony at trial had been fabricated and that the eyewitness was coerced by a cop, all hell breaks loose. In the absence of credible evidence to sustain the conviction, the court is forced to set Lester Ray free. It's the sort of circus the media adore—until it turns into the kind of Grimm's fairy tale the media love even more.

Book: Dinner With a Vampire by Abigail Gibbs published in 2013

I did not like this book at all! At times I wanted to throw the book against the wall. If this was not a part of this challenge I probably would not finish it. This book is about Violet Lee that sees a group of interesting people commit murder and she gets kidnap by these men. Who she later finds out are vampires. She also finds that she has a destiny with these vampires. I just hated the male love interest most of the time he is a real big jerk for most of the book. not my cup of tea and I will not be reading the second book.

This might be my favorite so far! Lots of action, deception, heartache, and Eugenie kicked some major butt! I absolutely adore Dorian, he's the best! Eugenie is really embracing her gentry side and taking the ruling thing in stride in this book. The love triangle though has gone on long enough, I wish it would of ended in book 2!

Lol, you're not the first one to say that to me but I guess we all have different tastes

Evans, Richard Paul Walking on Water R
This is the last book #5 int he water series and the one I liked the least. Even more I waws sad to see the walk end. The fun of the water series was him walking, this book was more about his father dying and little about his last leg of the walk from the Florida/Georgia line to Key West.

I have a couple hours left of my book. I'm so thoroughly hooked on the Dresden Files now :)

I have waited quite long before reading this book and I was looking forward to Donovan's story. I really like Donovan but his instant love for Eve was a bit too much. I can understand love at first sight but this went too quickly too far.
It was nice meeting the Kellys again and it's interesting to watch Sean and Rusty together - I would prefer their book to be the next one, not Swanny's.

So far I've enjoyed each addition more than the previous installment. Not that these are "funny" books but the dry wit from Harry at times makes me chuckle. James Marsters really brings Harry to life, he's a very animated narrator which really brings Harry to life for me. In this one we get to see a softer side of Harry which I enjoyed immensely. I can't wait to read the 4th!

I liked this book but it was kinda strange but in a good way. This book is about a group of women who meet reguraly and one night they get fed up with their lifes and they decided to just start walking as a group down the highway. This book is told by newspaper articles, stories from other people that the ladies touch and the ladies stories themselves. Pretty intresting and I could almost see this happening in real life.

stop pushing this book on people! It's addicting. Don't let her talk you into it Gea. I stayed up all night to finish that book, and promptly got book 2.
That book is something refreshing, so don't read it if you have a meeting or need to be alert the next morning
