Help! Problem with African Daisies

African daisies tends to slow blooming in really hot weather. They should perk up when the weather cools down. Dianthus usually blooms for me in the spring.
My Dianthus are picky. I have one that blooms from spring thru fall and the other 2 only bloom in spring! Don't recall if I've done African Daisies before, so perhaps you could do a G search and see what comes up.
I did google it actually, and learned that there are three different types of flowers that are commonly called African Daisies, but none of them explained about the blooming problem. I'll bet it is the hot weather. My balcony is shaded during the afternoon, but we've been "enjoying" 90-100 degree weather for more than a week now.
Oh, yeah! I live in Utah--its been 90+ since the 4th of July. We had 3 days of thunderstorms over the weekend that cooled things down quite a bit, and my daisies have started blooming again.

I have them in a pot on my balcony railing with Dianthus (which are not re-blooming really well either, but better than the daisies), creeping jenny (which is doing really well and growing like a weed) a Japanese Flag and wave petunias, which are doing really well also.
I water them every day (its been getting over 100 degrees for about a week now and the soil dries out every day). I have been fertilizing with the water every saturday and deadheading the plants once or twice a week.
The daisy plants themselves seem to be growing well, they just aren't re-blooming. Does anyone have any ideas?
