Anyone Have A Book Blog?

Just came back after a several month hiatus due to my husband's health. I will go look at yours now..."
Looks great! I followed you and am sitting down to read :D

I do read and review SP thrillers :) I'd be honoured to review it!

The Institute
The Institute I would love to have you read and review it.

The Institute

I haven't read it but I'd absolutely LOVE to read and review it! I'm really honoured to be given these opportunities :)
And Andrew I'll check it out when I've finished my dinner ^_^

I can never have too many books to read and review ;)
I love how in-depth your reviews of books are! I've signed up to follow via email :)

Thank you so much, I'm truly honoured!

I consider it a great honour that you gave me the copy. Thank you so much :) I'll read it within a week and review on every outlet I'm a part of. I'll also message you with links to all of the reviews ^_^

Done :) Thank you for the honour!

You really should! I love blogging, and blogging about books is a fantastic way to connect with other readers and reviewers and get their recommendations.

Lance,that's a good blog.
Sports fiction related thrillers are the Harlan Coben's Myron Bolitar series. Myron is a star basketball player who retired because of a gimped knew and starts an agency and gets into all kinds of scrapes.
A couple of sports non fiction I loved are,
Matthew Syed's Bounce and David Epstein's The Sports Gene.
Not sure if you've read these.

Kerry, I finally got to your blog and looked around, commented on 2. I'm a new follower.
I love reading book blogs as I get so many great ideas for books I need to track down. I'm working down this thread to add them to my Bloglovin feed.
My blog is at http://stephjb.blogspot.co.uk and I do book reviews, personal musings, travel writing and recipes.
I used to do a monthly digest of book reviews, but since being on Goodreads this month I'm experimenting with more frequent book review postings. I like that Goodreads will automatically post to my blog, but I read so much that my boyfriend said the review posts were overwhelming everything else! Now I'm trying putting them up in threes. If anyone's got any thoughts or advice on this, please holler. I'm interested to know what you all do :-)

Hi Jazmen, belatedly commenting to completely agree with your Book Comparison Blurbs post. Does my head in as well. I want publishers to shout about originality rather than resorting to this lazy 'its a thriller therefore its like whatever the current bestselling thriller is' approach.

Hi Monnie, Just been reading your review of Burning Man. Looks like a good bet and something a bit out of the ordinary for a thriller :)

I was surprised at how good it was - glad I read it!

Loved your blog. I (re)post my GR reviews on my blog.

Just my opinion, don't do that. Ideas are not copyright protected. Write something with your ideas, and post updates/samples from your WIP. That way, you can create a buzz about your forthcoming book before it's published.
I blog over here - http://col2910.blogspot.co.uk/
I have been posting thoughts on books I have read for a couple of years now, plus other bits and pieces,eg books I have acquired in the previous month, films and tv each month, unread books etc.
I used to get frustrated when I looked back and couldn't recall much detail on books I knew I had read before. It was and is mainly a memory device for myself. The fact that some folks stop by and comment and chat books is an added bonus for me.
I'll check out everyone else's blogs over the weekend.

Oooh, even more blogs posted since my last visit here :-)
I can see the problem I'm going to have with Goodreads is that I'll spend so much time reading ABOUT books that I won't have much left for the reading OF books!
