Anyone Have A Book Blog?

Looks great! I followed you and am sitting down to read :D
Kerry, Rita, do either of you read and review self published thrillers? Would be more than happy to send you e-copies of my thriller, if you do.
Ty wrote: "Kerry, Rita, do either of you read and review self published thrillers? Would be more than happy to send you e-copies of my thriller, if you do."I do read and review SP thrillers :) I'd be honoured to review it!
Kerry, Have you read my book? The Institute
The Institute I would love to have you read and review it.
Indeed I do. You can find it here: http://updegrove.wordpress.com/ I blog most frequently on self-publishing topics in a way meant to be informative to others starting down the same road, and also post chapters from my own writing and the occasional review. Needless to say, everybody's welcome, so drop on by.

And Andrew I'll check it out when I've finished my dinner ^_^
Kerry - thanks. And if you'd like ANOTHER book to review (a satirical thriller) after checking it out at my blog, I'd be delighted to send you a copy.

I love how in-depth your reviews of books are! I've signed up to follow via email :)
Kindle, please :) My email address is kerryelizabethhunter@live.co.uk should you need it, or you can send it directly to my Kindle at kerryelizabethhunter@kindle.comThank you so much, I'm truly honoured!
Thanks for following me at my blog, Kerry - and also for being willing to give my book a read - that's great. You should have your Kindle copy by the time you read this.

Done :) Thank you for the honour!
Lorrea(Threein3) wrote: "I tried to do a book blog once, but I got so backed up on my reviews. Maybe I will try again."You really should! I love blogging, and blogging about books is a fantastic way to connect with other readers and reviewers and get their recommendations.
Yep - I post a book review once a week (http://bookreviewsbymonnie.blogspot.com/) My reviews also are published twice a month in a friend's entertainment e-newsletter called "A Byrd's Eye View" and I post them at Amazon.com. Once in a while I miss a week, but that's okay. So Lorrea, by all means, go for it!
Monnie, skimmed through your blog. John Connolly - he is one of the most lyrical thriller writers I have ever come across. Him, James Lee Burke and James Sallis. Haven't come across any others who write like that.
Nope, haven't read any Winslow - I'll check him out as well. I've got a few James Lee Burke books but too many others get moved to the top of my stack. So many books, so little time!
From John Connolly's The Wolf in Winter:...daddy and it contained within it the prospect of living and the hope...'
now, that's writing!
I have been blogging for 4 years - read and review a book once a week and post 2-3 times.Thrillers, Crime, Suspense, Mystery are my favourite books to read but I am an eclectic reader.

I will visit this week and follow your blogs

Alright, I did it.....I started my blog. Just one post yet, but I'm going to be posting more as I finish more books. http://whatchatreadin.blogspot.com

Thanks Monnie!
Thanks Monnie!
A friend and I do a kid one (which I do under my first name only) but I basically run the facebook page for it on a daily basis with family friendly movie reviews, YA book reviews and more. Today was a family friendly movie trailer and TV anime review recommendation for all ages Tuesday. If you want to check it out go here: http://www.facebook.com/kidzonereviewsour blog site is http://www.kidzonereviews.wordpress.com
I have a blog for sports books not thrillers. Although I reviewed a few fictional sports books that could be considered thrillers or mysteries. If you like sports please check it out.www.sportsbookguy.blogspot.com
No prob DianeAlice. Hope you like the fb page. We try our best to update the blog. I don't run the blog, my friend does. I just send posts to her to publish. I do the fb page more anyway.

Lance,that's a good blog.
Sports fiction related thrillers are the Harlan Coben's Myron Bolitar series. Myron is a star basketball player who retired because of a gimped knew and starts an agency and gets into all kinds of scrapes.
A couple of sports non fiction I loved are,
Matthew Syed's Bounce and David Epstein's The Sports Gene.
Not sure if you've read these.

Kerry, I finally got to your blog and looked around, commented on 2. I'm a new follower.
I love reading book blogs as I get so many great ideas for books I need to track down. I'm working down this thread to add them to my Bloglovin feed.
My blog is at http://stephjb.blogspot.co.uk and I do book reviews, personal musings, travel writing and recipes.
I used to do a monthly digest of book reviews, but since being on Goodreads this month I'm experimenting with more frequent book review postings. I like that Goodreads will automatically post to my blog, but I read so much that my boyfriend said the review posts were overwhelming everything else! Now I'm trying putting them up in threes. If anyone's got any thoughts or advice on this, please holler. I'm interested to know what you all do :-)

Hi Jazmen, belatedly commenting to completely agree with your Book Comparison Blurbs post. Does my head in as well. I want publishers to shout about originality rather than resorting to this lazy 'its a thriller therefore its like whatever the current bestselling thriller is' approach.

Once a week for me, and twice a month (usually) the review I post is included in an entertainment e-newsletter done for our local region by a friend and instructor at Youngstown State University. Good way to get extra exposure for my blog entries.

Hi Monnie, Just been reading your review of Burning Man. Looks like a good bet and something a bit out of the ordinary for a thriller :)

Loved your blog. I (re)post my GR reviews on my blog.

@ Martyn, I do the same. Then I try to do another post during the week about something dealing with what I am reading, or with the holiday or whatever. I just started my blog and I'm hoping to keep it going for a long time. I really enjoy reading and writing. I think over the summer, I'm going to start posting my ideas for a new thriller book.
Lorrea(Threein3) wrote: "I really enjoy reading and writing. I think over the summer, I'm going to start posting my ideas for a new thriller book."Just my opinion, don't do that. Ideas are not copyright protected. Write something with your ideas, and post updates/samples from your WIP. That way, you can create a buzz about your forthcoming book before it's published.
I blog over here - http://col2910.blogspot.co.uk/
I have been posting thoughts on books I have read for a couple of years now, plus other bits and pieces,eg books I have acquired in the previous month, films and tv each month, unread books etc.
I used to get frustrated when I looked back and couldn't recall much detail on books I knew I had read before. It was and is mainly a memory device for myself. The fact that some folks stop by and comment and chat books is an added bonus for me.
I'll check out everyone else's blogs over the weekend.

Oooh, even more blogs posted since my last visit here :-)
I can see the problem I'm going to have with Goodreads is that I'll spend so much time reading ABOUT books that I won't have much left for the reading OF books!
