Sounds interesting. I have just read the first one. Is it worthwhile reading on?
it only gets better with the next two books. can't waitdor the series!
I am cautiously very optimistic about this one.

I am not excited about it. Syfy's track record for adaptations is truly horrendous.The only one that isn't terrible was the first Dune, and it still felt like a stage play.

I thought the same thing at first Ben. But then the article reminded me that he is supposed to be a belter, and so I think he will physically fit the role very well.
He's not what I pictured either but I do like Jane.

The choice for Holden is much different... I guess I had a more generic image in my head. This actor initially looks too young and soft, but we'll see once the show starts. Maybe he'll nail it.

I am cautiously optimistic.
I've been pretty impressed with SyFy productions recently with the likes of Helix and so forth so I'm pretty excited to see what they do with The Expanse series. I'm hoping some kind of of HBO grittiness mixed with the soul of Firefly personally.

I'm not actually sure -- I think it's a combination of characters he's played in The Wire and on Fringe; on the Fringe musical episode did he dress up all noir? Anyway, it happened and it's stuck in my head now.
I cant get past picturing Miller as Edward James Olmos's Gaff from Blade Runner
I just can't picture Warren Peace from Sky High as Holden.
I hope this is the new Battlestar Galactica!!! I need to fill that void!!
