SOLVED. Odd Peanuts book [s]

Hi, I'm curious about an old, weird book I used to love as a kid long ago. It was a Charles Schultz book, but I think it was him co-writing with a young kid. It was an actual story, and the illustrations were not by him, but by the kid himself. I remember one being about pirates or something. I think it was a snoopy book, and I want to say the red baron was involved, but it's been a long time. I read this probably before 1985. I don't think it's been reprinted. Anyone find this sounds familiar?

Tab, it would probably be considered a chapter book today. It was hardcover in library binding, and the illustrations were in full color. It wasn't a picture book I think, normal size.

Looks like I found it. It Was a Dark and Stormy Night, Snoopy

It actually was a picture book, and it was about snoopy actually writing the book he always wrote on his doghouse. It had a book within a book, which was why I thought it was him with someone else.
