As If The Humans Weren't Enough...(a twist in the plot)

Hunters are an members of an organization hellbent on the destruction of all supernaturals. The majority of them are humans, with a few supernaturals whom they have tricked into the group by claiming they are only destroying "bad" supernaturals. The supernaturals who join them often wind up facing terribly 'accidents.' They are very 'shoot first, ask questions later,' and believe they have stumbled on to the truth behind the walls of Whitewater.

Piper had a hard time sleeping Friday night, maybe because one of her dormmates had brought a ton of candy which she got shipped by owl that day and all of them ate until they felt sick, or maybe because she was anxious. She had the most assignments all year this weekend, which was rather unfortunate considering that it was one of the last trips to Hogsmeade of the year. Sadly, she would have to sacrifice fun for schoolwork, especially since it was so close to exams. If she was lucky, getting an early start would guarantee at least having Sunday afternoon or evening to relax before another hectic week at Hogwarts. Maybe she wouldn't have anytime to relax and the homework would end up taking the entire weekend. She had under estimated the time it would take to complete her homework in the past, and that ended up with her staying up all night trying to complete essays and master spells. That would make for a terrible weekend, and a horrid week.

The Ravenclaw had woken up many times throughout the night thanks to her nerves, though she convinced herself to fall back asleep each time, telling herself that she needed restful sleep to fully concentrate on the work ahead. After lying in bed for countless minutes at six thirty in the morning, she got up. Even though she didn't get as much sleep as she would have desired, there was no way she was falling back into sleep which would last longer than a few minutes. Piper quietly slipped out of bed, quickly undressing and putting on casual and very comfortable clothes: a muggle pullover which her mum gave to her during the past holiday break, and some soft pants. She put on some flats, then quickly put her hair up in a ponytail and was done. She really didn't care about looks, especially since all she was doing was homework, and if she was going to be sitting all day she had to be in comfort. She didn't bother with makeup, she almost never did, except for putting on chapstick since her lips always seemed to be dry.

The sixteen year old packed her books into her messenger bag in the dim light of her dormitory, doing her best not to wake anyone. She would never hear the end of it if she woke her roommates up before seven on one of the precious days they were allowed to sleep in. She held her wand in her hand, not wanting to crush it by trying to fit it into her already full bag, and creeped out of the room as quietly as she could muster. She walked down the four staircases leading to the Great Hall, which was quite taxing considering that Piper just got out of bed a few minutes ago and was carrying about twelve pounds worth of books. Finally, she entered the grand doors of the hall, and it was pretty much empty. There were two Gryffindors in the back eating and talking quietly, but besides them, it was completely empty.

She probably would have skipped the morning meal in order not to appear to awkward and just get to her studies quicker. The blonde - well, almost brunette - grabbed a piece of toast and a small bit of eggs, eating hastily so other people wouldn't come in and stare at her sitting alone like many did. Piper didn't receive any mail other than the Daily Prophet, but that was expected, her mother usually sent her an owl message on Sundays, and her father almost never sent her mail. After finishing her small breakfast, she made her way to the Hogwarts library. She almost always went there to do her studying: even though the Ravenclaw Common Room was usually pretty quiet, on the weekends about half of the students rather socialize than do work, which Piper understood. The younger students didn't have nearly as much homework as the older ones did, and many saved their homework until Sunday.

She sat down at a table near the middle of the library, having her choices open since she was the first person in the library. Maybe there was someone else, but she couldn't see them. The teenage girl opened her books, spread her parchment and got to work on her five foot essay for History of Magic. Five feet seemed a bit extreme for one essay, but it was covering a whole century of history, so she supposed it took that much to cover it all. After only fifteen minutes or so, she was disrupted by a group of seventh year Ravenclaw girls who supposedly "claimed that table", though Piper had never heard of claiming tables in the library. She left anyway, not wanting them to hate her for the rest of the month.

She moved to a table in the corner of the library which she hoped none was sitting at, and began to get back to work again. Shortly after starting again, she heard a voice and jolted back. Hopefully she didn't have to move again. Looking up at the girl, she seemed to be only in her fourth or fifth year, and she couldn't tell what house she was in. Her voice seemed friendly, and she looked rather pretty as well, "Yes. They assigned more than they have all year this weekend," she replied. This girl seemed nice enough, and a possibility for a friend.
