I can’t believe it is the end of the year already but let’s welcome in the Christmas season with books relating to Christmas. We have two options this month. You can choose either option. Both options have a maximum of 6 points allocated.

Option 1 categories include:
1. Books with Christmas elements on the cover, eg. Christmas tree, Christmas decorations, presents, snow, Santa etc.
2. A scene about celebrating Christmas
3. A scene about a Christmas Party
4. A book with the word Christmas in the title.
If you read 1 book from each of the four categories you can gain 2 Bonus Points.

Option 2 category include:
1. Spelling the word XMAS with different book titles. Each book needs to start with an X, M, A, S. If you can do this category you get 2 Bonus Points.

If you complete Option 1 and Option 2 you get a BONUS 10 POINTS!

At the New Adult Book Club, we challenge you to read as many New Adult Christmas oriented books as you can this month.

RULES:
- All books MUST be NA and a minimum of 120 pgs.
- OPTION 1 - You will receive 1 point for each book read, (total of 4 points, can be made up from any of the first four categories). To receive the 2 bonus points 1 book from each category is needed.
- OPTION 2 – You will receive 1 point for each book title read starting with an X, M, A or S. 2 Bonus Points if you complete the XMAS challenge (X, M, A, S all need to be used).
- Max. of 22 points this month
- Create ONE post below to keep track of your progress and edit your post throughout the month.

Shanny B (shannyb) | 31 comments Good Lord, this one might cause me stress! Lol. I did just finish one at 12:50am that fits a category! Woohoo!

Option 1: 5/4 Bonus 2
Option 2: 5/4 Bonus 2

Bonus bonus +10 √√√

Option 1
1. Books with Christmas elements on the cover, eg. Christmas tree, Christmas decorations, presents, snow, Santa etc. Frigid12-12 I love J Armentrout, so I knew this one would be pretty good. It could have been fleshed out a little more, but overall, it was good. Stuck in a blizzard with a longtime bff/crush while bad guys sabotage everything. NA romantic suspense.
2. A scene about celebrating Christmas Pretend You're Mine 12-2 25 Days (A Standalone Novel) 12-11 because, well... the cover. It was ok. Nothing to write home about.
3. A scene about a Christmas Party Unplugged 12-10 a Christmas Wedding! I can't think of a bigger party than that! Anyhow, yeah, its a 'stand alone' but not really because there is backstory all over the place.
4. A book with the word Christmas in the title. Ghosts of Christmas Past 12-9 this was a surprisingly good paranormal story. The climax built perfectly up until the end and then it went flat, but overall it was a good short read.
If you read 1 book from each of the four categories you can gain 2 Bonus Points.

Option 2 category include:
1. Spelling the word XMAS with different book titles. Each book needs to start with an X, M, A, S. If you can do this category you get 2 Bonus Points
X- Xoe: or Vampires, and Werewolves, and Demons, Oh My! 12-17 this felt more YA than NA, but its done. I'm going to read another o e because I feel like I'm cheating a little. Xavier 12-20 reread ;)
M-The Mighty Storm 12-5 I finally got around to reading this one and I really liked it.
A-All I Want for Christmas is You 12-13 super sweet HEA Christmas story.
S-Seth 12-13 this series is sort of the same story/formula over and over, but I enjoy them. Not sure why, but I do. :)

Frigid (Frigid, #1) by Jennifer L. Armentrout Pretend You're Mine by Lucy Score 25 Days (A Standalone Novel) (Christmas Bad Boy Romance) by Claire Adams Unplugged (Blue Phoenix, #3) by Lisa Swallow Ghosts of Christmas Past by Jessica Aspen

You are welcome! Half of the fun of the challenges is finding something I haven't actually read to meet the criteria. :) I'm running out of NA that I haven't read. But I do enjoy looking for the gem in the haystack, so to speak.

message 19: by Dee (new)

Dee | 851 comments My problem is getting time to sit and read the ones I really want to and then finding new ones I out first :)

message 20: by Kimi (new)

Kimi Porkchops (kimi_porkchops) I know. I love the challenges but I either can't find books that I think would interest me, I've already read them or I just run out of time. I'm hoping to complete more challenges next year. I started late this year
