That's where I ended up getting mine too!

Jessica Holbrook (jessicalh08) | 133 comments So while I was shelving books today at work (I work at my local library) I decided to pick up the first book that caught my attention as I walked the aisles. That book happened to be The Little Paris Bookshop. I've heard it's good!

Barbara | 25 comments I took this category literally and ended up happy with my book! Had my husband walk into our local B and N ahead of me, kept my head down and my hand on his shoulder until we got thru the entry area (where the stuff no one buys hangs out). The first display shelf was new releases and the book my eyes landed on was The Gangster by Clive Cussler. Of course it was #9 in a series, but it turned out not to matter. Really enjoyed the book, and Cussler is a new author for me! So now I'll go back and start the rest of the series!

I love Clive Cussler! You must continue. Is that an Isaac Bell? I really like those - he also has series with more contemporary adventures.

Here's a link to all his series: http://www.fictfact.com/author/149/cu...

Shilpi | 21 comments I went to a second hand book shop today ( not wanting to spend too much on a book I might not like!). I went in, taking care I don't notice any book, then proceeded directly to the first floor and bought the first book which I noticed there. It's called The Calling. I am pretty happy with my lot and I found the whole experience really exciting and enjoyable.

I also love Clive Cussler! I've read most of the books in his Dirk Pitt series and my mom recommended one of the Isaac Bell adventures for last year's challenge and I'm in love with those ones too.

Sara (velocipedal) | 32 comments I read Will Grayson, Will Grayson by John Green. B&N had a whole lot of YA on display.

Rachel A. (abyssallibrarian) | 643 comments I raed The Thing About Jellyfish, which was the first book that caught my attention when visiting the bookstore's website. I get most of my books from the library, so I wanted to make sure I'd be able to get the book in time to read by the end of the year, and I had no idea when I would get to the store.

Juanita (juanitav) | 744 comments I took my kids to the bookstore last Friday and we had to walk pretty far into the store (past a lot of CDs, DVDs and toys) before I actually saw a book. *sigh*

message 62: by Kirsten (new)

Kirsten (kmcripn) LOL! Doesn't sound like a bookstore. More a general store with books!

A multi-floor Barnes & Noble if you can believe that.

poshpenny | 1916 comments I was going to say, sounds like the second-floor entrance to Barnes & Noble! Where I feels like I haven't been in forever. Wow.
