Hi everyone in the fabulous Lovers of Paranormal group! Thanks so much Carrie for featuring my book This Freshest Hell in Read2Review this month. I hope those who request it enjoy it and don’t have too many nightmares ;) If you’re not sure if you’d like to request it, I’d say if you like edgy vampires and a bit of darkness, you might like it. It’s not just a paranormal novel – there’s some supernatural bits in the first half, but the second half delves into a bit of horror with vampires and other monsters, both classic and new. The characters are disenchanted and the book touches on some deep dark themes including depression, so if that’s not your style, you might not be so into it. If you like Anne Rice and darker types of vampire novels (this ain’t Twilight!) you might enjoy TFH. The book also spans a decade, with the characters starting out as teens and progressing through stages of their lives, stopping at 27 halfway through. Just mentioning this as when some people start the book they assume it's a teen vampire-mortal romance, which it isn't. It's about two troubled girls who delve briefly into the dark arts and pay the price years later, but it's not just about the supernatural aspects - it's also about the girls’ jaded journeys and their search for life’s meaning.
