According to the rules and the FAQs participants are not allowed to request books of a specific length for purchasing properties.
Q: What if I wanted to purchase a Property but the books chosen for me are all outside the 280-420 page range?
A: Then, unfortunately, this means that you can not purchase the property.
We discussed this scenario among the mods at length and decided that chances of this happening were slim, and that if the participant was really worried about it, they could just make sure that all of the books on your list were of the appropriate size.

I hear you. It's so difficult to know sometimes what a person is in a mood for. I'm mostly a romance reader but I read so many genres and sometimes I'm in a mood for something different. The page limit is only for ones that you are reading for purchased properties, just FYI.
And I know how you feel about January books, my list will get much better after January, that is for sure. Remember, you can always add and subtract from you list between rolls. :)
