Have you guys ever read a book for class and have been totally confused by it? I had to read Brave New World for a Wes. Civ class last semester, and I was completely lost..I also had to read Handmaid's tale, which was not as confusing as it was horrible.. Have any of you experienced this?

It's not quite on the confusing scale as horrible, but my experience with Crime and Punishment was probably the most difficult of my required reads. I think it's partially because my translated copy was a bit different than the other class members. x_X
I actually really liked Brave New World and The Handmaid's Tale. But typically I was not a fan of required reading in school. Great Expectations and Lord of the Flies were absolute torture to read.
Yeah, I have definitely experienced this. "Brave New World" is an okay novel at best. I read it as not required reading though. However, I absolutely abhor anything by Steinbech and when I was in high school, it seems like I had to read a novel of his a year. In college I had to require read things off of the Oprah Book Club, only one of those books was okay because it was a history book about the holocaust and that was readable.
I very often had to deal with this, and this made me very sad. I also didn’t like to write an essay, it worked very badly for me, so I turned to friends for help. they often helped me write an essay https://artscolumbia.org/essays/who-am-i-essay-free-sample-for-students-52912/ and together we did it very well.
