I apologize if this has been covered and I missed it, but when a book is translated, or reprinted, what year do we use for publication? The year it appeared in the language we read it in, or the original year of publication? When a book has been reprinted, do we use the year it originally appeared, or the year our particular edition was published? Thanks for any guidance you can give!

That's up to you, Cheri! Personally, I'm going by the Goodreads first published date. Most books have a publish date for the edition, and then sometimes will have "(first published 2007)" written in gray next to it. That's what I go with, but you're free to come up with your own system.
