My name: Maybe she's born with it. Maybe it's Maybelline. And seeing as I don't really wear makeup, we'll go with the first one. As for my avatar, don't get used to it, it'll change - Most likely next year. This one, however, is an art piece I found via google. The link is in the comments in the thread for the picture in my profile. :) I try to keep all of my userpics book/reading related.

That's my name, that's my picture."
I wouldn't call that boring. I would call that efficient! :D

Actually - before I joined goodreads I did one of those online name translator games. You know - put your real name in and see what your elf name is - or dwarf. And I got Nienna. I thought it was pretty and it stuck.
I found out its a Tolkien character from The Silmarillion - which I still have not read by the way - afterwards I found this pic on pininterest of the character. Don't know the artist but I thought it was pretty.
So now you know my secret... Lol.

Dawn is my name, and my user pic is a photo of my fiancé and I, our save the date.

Picture is me, shall change as I get bored haha

The avatar is a pic of a t-shirt. It says, "Pretty in Pink and Strong as FcensoredK." I love to workout - specifically weightlifting and dance. I do a little running (jogging) but my knees don't care for running. My goal is to get my deadlift up to about 230lbs and my squat to about 180-200. I hurt myself last year so I'm still in recovery mode. My deadlift PR is 140 and my squat PR is 135.
I changed to this avatar because the F**K has the "censored" in it - reflecting my annoyance with the changes GR made to the review and shelving systems.

The picture is of my amaaaaaaaaaaaazing pet rabbit, Neko. Using him as my picture means I get to see him pretty much all day and that makes me smile.

My avatar I found on the internet, and I love dragons so there it is :)
My name is a little more complicated... I've used it for about 7 years now I think. It originates from my World of Warcraft days. I'm really, really bad at thinking of names to call characters in games. One day I wanted to make a new character and couldn't think of yet another name - randomly I picked cheezedoodle. Which I used for a while cause I thought it was funny... Decided I liked the word 'doodle' and somewhere along the way 'panda' got attached to it. Don't ask me where I got that from, I have no idea. Probably random firing of the synapses in my brain. It happens. Often.
Though I think I probably share a lot of qualities with the panda, so it's all good :)

That reminds me. Back when I played a lot of Xbox I needed to come up with an avatar name when I switched my profile to a Live account. I needed a unique name and my mind was blank.
I had just gotten 2 kittens. Brothers from the same litter. Before they came home we had been calling them Pudge (Lilo&Stitch) and Doodle Bug. So - I called myself Doodlepudge2.
Yeah... Btw - the boys got "real" names when they came home. Goku (Dragon Ball) and Angel. Though - sometimes I do like to tease my Goku that he could've been Pudge. Lol.

On clear days (rare around here, today is not one of them) I can see both peaks from my office window, around 100 kms away.

Have you read The Martian yet?! Loved it! I heard a lot of astronauts and/or people associated with NASA are big fans of the book.

My avatar is a picture of my beautiful daughter who just recently turned 1!!!

Home In My Shoes was a song written by a Canadian blues guitarist named Amos Garrett. Well, actually it was "I Make My Home in My Shoes". I adapted the last four words and removed the spaces as my Internet moniker about a decade ago.
I've moved around a lot and I am reasonably upbeat. Whie the song itself is about the homeless I find the lyrics also speak to me about making my home wherever I end up. So I make whereever I am my home.
My avatar is a giant robot. Specifically it is a giant robot from a piece of street graffiti on a mailbox in St. John's, Newfoundland. I liked it and we know that outside of Godzilla the thing that any city by the ocean fears is a giant robot.
