Cary (vortigern) The topic is Favorite Character on TrueBloold. Thats hard. But Lafayette is still my main dude. After last nights fiasco Episode 20. I wonder what happend so Sarah Newlin. I was tired last night an the action was fast and furious. Did I see Jason gun down Rev Newlin? Anyway I am watching it again at 7:00

message 153: by Tiffany (new)

Tiffany (lovn_mr_darcy) | 18 comments Yeah he hit him with at paint gun...twice :D

message 154: by CindyToo (new)

CindyToo | 107 comments Kenna, he's a keeper;)

message 155: by Cary (new)

Cary (vortigern) Jason shot Rev Newlin twice with a paint gun,LOL. I was sure he shot him with a shot gun after that. Must be dreaming. I will watch it tonight a 7:00 and get it all straight.

message 156: by The Flooze (new)

The Flooze (the_flooze) I think Jason was my favorite character in the last episode. He had me cracking up and cheering him on all at once! Eric was fantastic and I loved every second of him, but I think, gasp, Jason had me even more riled up!

message 157: by Cary (new)

Cary (vortigern) Sarah Newlin was my favorite character in the last episode. But she just fizzled out. I really enjoyed seeing Rev Newlin get shot in the head by Jason with the paint gun and whining about it.

message 158: by The Flooze (new)

The Flooze (the_flooze) If those were Sarah's last moments though, she went out with a bang! Paintball to the groin. You could permanently maim a man!

message 159: by Tiffany (new)

Tiffany (lovn_mr_darcy) | 18 comments i thought he was gonna run her over with that golf cart thing..lol

message 160: by The Flooze (new)

The Flooze (the_flooze) Lol, Tiffany. I thought so too. Instead, Ms Beauty Queen had to totter off into the night on her 3" heels!

message 161: by Tiffany (new)

Tiffany (lovn_mr_darcy) | 18 comments I wish he would have..if i was a guy and a woman shot me in the dick with a paintball gun....i would do something to her..idk what but something

Allison (helloarkansas) | 158 comments Tiffany wrote: "I wish he would have..if i was a guy and a woman shot me in the dick with a paintball gun....i would do something to her..idk what but something"

I kept hoping that she would get snatched up by a vamp on her walk back to the church lol.

message 163: by CindyToo (new)

CindyToo | 107 comments I have to say Jason *is* my fave this season so far.

message 164: by Becky (new)

Becky | 93 comments did anyone else notice in the preview for next week the scene with rev and sarah on tv. you can faintly see the mark the paint ball made lol.

and i agree....i was cheering for jason the whole episode. he was awesome even when eric took him down a notch lol

message 165: by Cary (new)

Cary (vortigern) I havent figured on a favorite. I thought Godrich was well, something else altogether. My least favorite would be Rev Newlin. But for Marryanne it's high time to hit the road outta town.

message 166: by Meg (new)

Meg Myers (megmyersyahoocom) | 29 comments I agree with you way to much~!!!!!!!!
I loved how it all went down in the books.... and it was not as messy as the show! I really hate MarryAnne and To be honest Ive gotten to the point where i just dvr the show just to fastforward when she talks... is it just me or is she just really annoying!?! I really love the show... and i like how things changed from the book alittle to add more "spice" and "excitement" but the books were perfect the way they were... I like the show but the books are too much better to be to "much" changed in the show. One thing i do not like... is that in the books eric was always interested like in the show... but it wasent like eric forced anything in the books...bill was an ass and eric was there to pick up the pieces after the werewolf and the weretiger....heck eric was always there for her... in the book he was like a night in shinning armor... in the show hes turning into a bit of a stalker... i do want to see sookie looking like a slu* because alan ball wants ratings... Harris is my favorite auther and these books are my down right favortie.... its a love story more than a thriller... i just hope it dosent get ruined on the little screeen

message 167: by Cary (new)

Cary (vortigern) Man there is no telling I just want to see more Layfayette cutting up and acting hilariuos in a film noire sort of way. Hope I spelld noire right. You know dark humor.

message 168: by The Flooze (new)

The Flooze (the_flooze) Well Lafayette will be facing off with Tara this weekend. Maybe he can bring new life to that storyline.

message 169: by Meg (new)

Meg Myers (megmyersyahoocom) | 29 comments I hope so... that story died about.... what three weeks ago?

message 170: by The Flooze (new)

The Flooze (the_flooze) Three weeks ago? Dang. You're nicer than me. I was done with Maryanne about 3 episodes in. Which is sad, because I like Michelle Forbes.

message 171: by Cary (new)

Cary (vortigern) I just got through watching Trueblood again. I cant believe Luke made himself in to a human suicide bomb for Rev Newlin. Marryanne was interesting at first few episodes, and now she's just plain irritatting. She is around for the next episode. To try and sacrifice Sam. I really don't think that will be her last espisode either.

message 172: by Morgan (new)

Morgan (neimanmarxist) | 80 comments I agree about the Maryanne storyline getting old. I do like the actress that plays her, and I did enjoy the storyline at first. But at this point, it is more aggravating than anything!

message 173: by Cary (last edited Aug 14, 2009 09:06AM) (new)

Cary (vortigern) I am just wondering how long they plan to have Marryanne around. She is a good actress, not bad looking. If they even roughly follow the books. She should be gone in the next couple expisodes. However they could have her hanging around as a constant menace to Sam. Marryanne might return in recouring scenes through this whole first season, and into the next. Actors need work. All the work they can get. Especially on a TV series as popular as True Blood. It is really a boost to their carriers. So you know Marryanne will hang in there as long as she can.

message 174: by Meg (new)

Meg Myers (megmyersyahoocom) | 29 comments Great Actor...I Know!~ But Seriously...with what they are doing to the show... its crazy... did marryanne even have much to do in the book... shes like the dang energizer bunny, she keeps going and going and going... and going... and going... someone needs to man a 18wheeler and run her over already~!

message 175: by Allison (new)

Allison (helloarkansas) | 158 comments Meg wrote: "someone needs to man a 18wheeler and run her over already~! "

This made me laugh lol. Agreed !

message 176: by Cary (new)

Cary (vortigern) There is just no telling. She could get knocked of while trying to Sacrifice Sam. But hey its TrueBlood and any crazy thing can happen.

message 177: by Meg (new)

Meg Myers (megmyersyahoocom) | 29 comments Im so sick of that story line~~~~ Marryanne is so made up buy hbo to increase the sex in the story line.... and there is one thing ive been hearing as of late that is driving me crazy.....THERE IS NO WAY THEY CAN KILL OFF SAM! Sam is one of the main characters! If your any fan of the books and youve read them, you will see that sam is very important...in all the books.... if not for sam...who would resuce sookie from the werewolfs... come out to the world as a supe... come on people sam is nececito mucho!

message 178: by Ranata (new)

Ranata Clark (thatchicknata) Meg wrote: "Im so sick of that story line~~~~ Marryanne is so made up buy hbo to increase the sex in the story line.... and there is one thing ive been hearing as of late that is driving me crazy.....THERE IS ..."

I totally don't see Sam dying. If they kept Lafayette who was suppose to have been in the car that night they found Miss Jeannette, they better NOT kill off Sam. I love him! He's a hottie and we need him. I can't believe just because Sookie and Bill are gone that Bon Temps is going to hell. Really, HBO? Maryanne needs to get lost and fast.

message 179: by Meg (new)

Meg Myers (megmyersyahoocom) | 29 comments I second the motion~ Eric is my favorite character in the book... alex is doing a create job on the show... and in my dreams lol.... but i loved the books before i loved the show... i really wish they could go back to the original story line... was bills ex in dead in dallas? I dont remember but i thought she was in book three not two. who knows?

message 180: by The Flooze (new)

The Flooze (the_flooze) No, she's only in the third book, Meg. Club Dead.

message 181: by Meg (new)

Meg Myers (megmyersyahoocom) | 29 comments ok club dead is where she takes bill right? so how does this play out if he already gave here the shove off.... i seriously wonder where this shows going

message 182: by The Flooze (new)

The Flooze (the_flooze) Exactly what I'm thinking! And most everyone else!

message 183: by Nich (new)

Nich | 2 comments o_O i kwon it's cliche but i truly love Eric, and there's no way sookie will end up with bill or someone else, i kida read the book 4 dead to the word 2 times lol, he's so cute with no memory, just like a bunny, it mkes you want to take him home n take care. sooo cute *-* on book 8 when he remembers everything. i just can't stop liking him, looking forward to the book 10 next year XD
ps: luv eric.

Malisa - J&M's Book Diaries (rosannaseng) | 1 comments I love Eric (mmm.. he's yummy!), Lafayette, and I also wish there was more of Pam in the show. I absolutely hate Tara, OMG... I wanted to throw her off a cliff in the last show -8/16. She gets more annoying each episode, somebody needs to kill her off seriously!!!

I've also noticed that there's more screen time for Tara, Marryanne, and Jason... where for in the books they aren't mentioned as much as they are in the show.

message 185: by Morgan (last edited Aug 21, 2009 06:21AM) (new)

Morgan (neimanmarxist) | 80 comments Wow, I didn't even realize until you mentioned it Rosanna, but where has Pam been? :( She hasn't been around since she told Lafayette he was back into slinging V, right? More Pam!!!

message 186: by Susan (Suz) (new)

Susan (Suz) (sharney) Agreed Morgan! I have been missing Pam this season as well!!!:(:(

message 187: by J.D. (new)

J.D. Stroube Personally...
I find Eric, Jessica, and Sam to be the most interesting.
Bill irritates me for some reason that I cannot explain.
Jason is too "stupid" (sorry to the jason fans) for me...,and I am so sick of MaryAnn! LOL I hate her character. I was so happy in the latest episode when Lafayette took Tara away from MaryAnn. :)

message 188: by Tiffany (new)

Tiffany (lovn_mr_darcy) | 18 comments Guess who started reading the trueblood books the other day and is already halfway into book 3?

message 189: by The Flooze (new)

The Flooze (the_flooze) Ummm, could it be....Tiffany!

Guess you're liking them so far!

How you feeling about the differences between show and book?

message 190: by sigmagal (new)

sigmagal | 7 comments I love Lafayette!!! I think that his character is funny, and intelligent!!! I enjoy the way that he talks. Lafayette says things that most people think.
Eric has not yet come into his own as a character. It will take another season to really get into the Eric and Sookie plot. I am waiting on the Pam character to liven things up! I think that Bill is boring and I am waiting to see if he will be the hero on the television show or if he will eventually be a nerdy jerk like in the book. I really like Terry also. I like Tara but the Tara and Eggs plot is kinda starting to bore me. I really liked her character the first season.

message 191: by Nicole (new)

Nicole Bogert (nicole977) | 2 comments Nicole wrote: "I love Eric!
More because of the books than the show!"

I totally agree!!

message 192: by Chandel (new)

Chandel I love Lafayette he just lights up the show, he funny thats what i like. Eric is another one on my list that i cant get enough of. Jessica is fun to watch and her story is getting good. Those are the three i love the most Sookie and Bill are the next below those guys.

message 193: by Jessica (new)

Jessica | 193 comments I think Terry and Andy are probably my favorites. They are both just so damned funny, and fantastic actors!

"I didn't mean to be peculiar at you, Arlene" - PRICELESS!

message 194: by cjbt57 (new)

cjbt57 I wasn't expecting liking Lafayette and Jessica so much. They're great characters and I'm glad they were added to the show.

During the books, I couldn't make up my mind between Bill and Eric, but I am now an Eric fan forever and ever and ever!

message 195: by Christy (new)

Christy | 127 comments I have too many favorites this season! But Lafayette is probably my #1 fave. He just lights up the screen in every scene he's in.

message 196: by Christy (new)

Christy | 127 comments I like Jessica a lot, but I hope she gets back to her smart ass self soon. In love Jessica is cute, but where's the edge we saw in Season 1?

message 197: by The Flooze (new)

The Flooze (the_flooze) That's funny, Christy, because I'm glad she dropped the edge she had in season 1! She was just too much for me to handle. This version I can't get enough of.

I second all those who vote for Lafayette. He's sharp, smart, and funny. It was such a great move keeping him.

message 198: by Morgan (new)

Morgan (neimanmarxist) | 80 comments Hoyt's mother is a real bitch, but a hilarious bitch! I'm starting to really enjoy her scenes!
