SOLVED. YA book: cover is black with a single, lit match [s]

I read this young adult book a few years back. I loved it, and was really wanting to read it once again. I can't remember the title or the author. The cover had a single, lit match on the front. The background was black. The book was about a boy who had been in a fire. He liked to build things out of matches and spend time with his best friend. At the end of the book, readers learn that the boy has some form of mental issue because his mom reminded him that his best friend died in the fire. I know this isn't much information, but it's all I can remember. I do know that I checked it out of my local library at the time. I now live hours away. This library was the Wabash Carnegie Public Library in Wabash, Indiana.

Daphne's suggestion of Invisible looks very promising.
