What do you think will happen to Tobias afterwards?

I mean do you think he'll ever have a family and become a father? I think he deserves that, not that I don't love tris ofcourse, but he's been in pain his entire life ever since he was born and it was never really his fault, I don't like the thought of him being alone for the rest of his life just mourning, I'd love to see him become a father one day :)

i feel like his form of happiness after everything wouldn't necessarily be in another true love since i think that's what he had with Tris, but in friendships and doing things that better society. it's hard of course since i think that he would make a great father/protector type - but i just don't see it being something that he would pursue since deep down you know that he has a connection to Tris still.

I think he will eventually move on. It's what selfless Tris would want, and I think Tobias knows that.

In time, Tobias will move on and fall in love again. It won't be the same as what he had with Tris, I don't think you can ever love any two people in exactly the same way, but he will love.

And he deserves to be loved back.

I see people in these discussions saying that he should never have another relationship or fall in love again because Tris was his soul-mate. That thought is so sad to me. I hate to imagine Tobias having to go through the rest of his life alone while all of his friends find love and start families. Of course he will be involved in the lives of his friends and their families, but it will still leave him starting and ending each day alone. Tobias needs someone that will love him and care for him and let him love and care for her in return.

When he does fall in love again, he won't be replacing Tris, no one will ever replace her. But he will be moving forward. If you aren't moving forward, you are standing still and life will go on without you. Tobias has too much life and fought too hard for people to have a future, to just stand still now. If he was going to give up, he should have just drank the memory serum and he didn't. He wants to live. Tris would have wanted him to live. And with the crappy childhood he had to deal with, he deserves to have a happy life with someone who can and will cherish him.

I can't imagine Tobias being with Christina in a romantic way. I think they will just be good friends.
