1. Which author makes you laugh the most?

2. If you could have dinner with 3 comedians/comediennes who would you pick?

3. What's the single most embarrassing thing you've ever done?

Rachel (Smelleykins) (smelleykins) | 2 comments Hello lovely lady!!

1. Whats the most distasterous date you've ever had?

2. You're always so happy and bubbly over on twitter, what makes you happiest the most?

3. If you could co-write a book with another author, who would it be and what would your story be about?

4. Can anyone write a book, do you think you need to have a degree in um... english (or whatever fancy degree sounds good), or is a good imagination enough? Was it hard writing your first book?

5. Do you have a favourite quote from a book?

Love Rachel xx

C.L. wrote: "Three questions for you Rosie.

1. Which author makes you laugh the most? I adored Jilly Cooper for years and she made me LOL. Recently I have laughed at: Danny Wallace, Kirsty Greenwood and Emma Garcia.

2. If you could have dinner with 3 comedians/comediennes who would you pick? I love stand-up comedy so I would invite: Alex Horne, Loretta Maine and Laura Solon - all fantastic in their own right. Look them up (particularly The Horne Section - brilliant)

3. What's the single most embarrassing thin.." Ooh tricky question. I don't embarrass easily but there was a certain Christmas dinner at work back in 2008 when stuff happened and well someone had to be carried home by two colleagues. Every year people still remind me of it.

Love these qu's Smelleykins
1. Whats the most distasterous date you've ever had? One that actually made it into HTGALL - the actor who spent the night showing me photos of himself and asking me to rate them so he could record my answers in his little book. GAH.

2. You're always so happy and bubbly over on twitter, what makes you happiest the most? Thanks, I think I really love silly, it's why the Internet is such a great playground. If you are ever bored or down you know you can click on a video showing you a child dressed in an LED costume (look this up - amazing) and be cheered.

3. If you could co-write a book ..." OK WEIRD question as I AM co-writing a book with a fabulous man - Richard Campbell who is in the sketch group Late Night Gimp Fight. More on this another time...

4.Definitely not. To write I just think you need to read. Lots.

5. I don't I'm afraid, does that make me less of a writer??!?!

Thanks for hanging out x x

Sue (mell61) | 1 comments What is your writing day like? All structured, or bits of paper all over the place?
Which "must read" did you find hardest to read, and do yo try again or just leave it to gather dust?

Hi Sue

Q: What is your writing day like? All structured, or bits of paper all over the place?

Pretty structures in that I know I write best in the morning so I have made peace with that idea and have stopped throwing a strop in the afternoon and make sure I go for a walk, read or have a cup of tea or do some research then. As for the process I write directly into one document and keep my basic plot outline and character descriptions in a book. I have DEFINITELY got more organised and efficient over the years.

Q: Which "must read" did you find hardest to read, and do yo try again or just leave it to gather dust?"

Cloud Atlas was the killer for me - I just got completely lost, perhaps because I kept picking it up and putting it down. Some people tell me it is one of their fave reads so I should really keep trying but... but....

Thanks for popping by!
Rosie x

Stephanie (skhani) | 1 comments Hi Rosie!

What traits do you think make for a positive, female role model and can you think of any examples?

What do you think are some of the major problems facing women today, and how can they be helped?

And finally, something I always ask authors...

Hemingway once wrote a story in just six words (“For sale: baby shoes, never worn.”). What would be your six word story for your life so far?

Thanks Stephanie - your questions are scary but cool. Sooooo...

Q: What traits do you think make for a positive, female role model and can you think of any examples?

A: Loads of women! Confidence, without arrogance, positivity, seizing the day... Women who aren't afraid to speak their mind but who can still listen to the opinions of others and change their minds too. I am always amazed by the supportive women writers I come across - they're fun, generous and warm.

Q: What do you think are some of the major problems facing women today, and how can they be helped?

A: I think it's hard for women to try and juggle everything and often I think some women feel overwhelmed that they have to do it all and to ask for help and support is somehow failing. I think trying to ensure that you do try to say no when you can't do something and ask for help if it all gets a bit much can help. Hmm this is tricky.

Q: 6 word story if my your life so far...

A: Weird girl meets hot vet and...

Leah (leahmichelle) | 4 comments WHAT'S YOUR NEXT BOOK ABOUT?! Sorry, excited.

When can we read it?

Can I BEG you to use my name in one of your novels? :)

Aaaand, what do you think of the word Chick Lit?

Ha, ha, hi Leah.

GOOD questions.

Next book is about a girl who marries a guy in the playground, aged 8. Life doesn't turn out quite like she planned and she decides it would have been a whole lot better if she'd stayed married to Andrew Parker. So 20 years later she decides to track him down...

I'm hoping it will be out in 2015 but nothing as yet confirmed.

Leah is actually a great name so might be open to this suggestion.

And EEK I have a long answer and a short answer for this. Chick lit is fine if people want to use it to describe my books But it is SO over-used so now it simply seems to mean "any book written by women" and I know there are many books that don't fit easily into this term. It is often used by some to put down certain books which is a huge shame. Also some SHOULD be celebrated as part of the genre, for instance One Day by David Nicholls, as it is essentially similar in vein to other books that have been BUT David is a man thus it isn't used for his book. Oh I could go on....

OK, next up... What are you reading at the moment?

Rachel (Smelleykins) (smelleykins) | 2 comments Oo i have some others

- Whats you're must have accessory?

- Is there a book that you've read, that you wish you could have wrote?

- Books made into movies, whats your view on them? Do you think you can portray everything described in a book on the big screen? Do you have a favourite book-made-film?

- Who would play you in a movie of your life?

Much love, i'm off to the land of nod!! Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions, you really are lovely xxx

Good because it is my fave book I've written so far. And at the moment just finishing Cally Taylor's 'The Accident' and it's wow. X

Leah (leahmichelle) | 4 comments Here's a couple more from me, before bed!

If How To Get A (Love) Life was made into a film... who would be in your dream cast?!

Who/what inspires you to write?

Do you like Ant & Dec? (And if you do, who's your FAVOURITE? I love Ant, personally. There's just something about him. Dec's cute, but Ant... I dunno. The older he gets, the better looking he gets.)

If you had to do a reality TV show which would you do?

Okay, I think that's a pretty cool selection! :D

Hi lovely.

What's you're must have accessory? Eyeliner. Seriously.

Is there a book that you've read, that you wish you could have wrote? Are you Experienced by William Sutcliffe. Really made me laugh. Proper LOL.

Books made into movies, whats your view on them? They are never as good as our imagination is so much more effective. I had The Kite Runner DVD unopened for years and even though it was a great adaptation it still couldn't compare.

A drunk Claudia Winkleman.

And good night x x

Leah (leahmichelle) | 4 comments Ooh I read The Accident this week, it's amazing isn't it? I thought it was so effortless - the book just flew by and I was glued from the first page!

Morning Leah, just picked these up.

Dream cast - am I allowed George Clooney and then loads of great comics for the dates and maybe Zooey whatshername as Nicola but she will have to tone it down at the start.

I am not sure where my writing inspiration comes from, I just get really excited thinking up new ideas and characters and it goes from there. I am super lucky my husband is supportive as I think it would be hard doing it with someone else being like, "Put the pen down, why isn't dinner ready, why is the house a mess, why haven't you washed your hair etc etc"

I am not a fan of either Ant and Dec particularly but surely you can't separate them and the love we feel for them should be equal as they are one?

If I had to do a reality TV show I would do one abroad. Somewhere gorgeous. But I really loathe them.

R x x x
