There are many items listed under Charley Harper (https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...) that I believe are not books, but I don't feel comfortable enough with the policies/practice to NAB them myself.
Can someone with more experience take a look, please?

Someone must have merged 14; the links all redirect to the primary edition now.
I changed the author on 15. Without an idea of what to merge to I hesitate to just zap it.

#17 - ISBN search gives this result with full bib data

which corresponds with what is listed on BookData.
Can't help with any further details for #15 though.

Whoops, that was me. Forgot to note as such here. I also created NAB'd entries with the offending ISBNs so they won't be re-added to the database.

I'm confused about how to NAB something that has been shelved, when you can't use the NAB button. The instructions say to merge two identical editions, which involves deleting one of them, but then you can't edit the one that's been deleted to say NOT A BOOK because it doesn't exist anymore. Am I missing something?

Still confused about how to transfer ratings when NABing manually.

Write down the ISBN 10 and 13 of the thing to be nabbed plus all other metadata. Merge the item. Create a new record with the ISBN 10 and 13 plus all the metadata, NAB it.

d. The not-a-book record has been recreated in the GR database with no users shelving it; all of the users were transferred to the actual book in step (b).
is incorrect? You have to recreate it manually? Just making sure I understand.
Also, possible NAB:

Not sure how to verify whether or not this is an actual book.

Re your "possible NAB":
I would never NAB something that is titled Untitled. Authors buy ISBNs in blocks and may or may not use all of them. I suppose that book was either a planned book that didn't get published, or it's an edition of a book that did get published but that particular edition wasn't needed or whatever.
Not being the author or the publisher it's impossible for us to know what's going on with that specific ISBN. Most likely it wouldn't hurt the database for it to be NABbed, but again, not knowing the situation, I personally would not NAB it. It's not like a "strip clip" or something where we know it is not an actual physical book.

Don't know. I thought you did have to recreate it manually - otherwise it would just be reimported by one of the automatic importers - but I could be wrong.

* untitled books where no verifiable publication information about the book exists (often these are titled "Untitled #3" and represent placeholder ISBNs that were never used)
Maybe I'm relying too much on the manual here, but this seems like one of those cases. (And the manual should definitely be changed if you have to recreate the record yourself when merging the NAB into the actual book.)

Right, but the manual says that Goodreads automatically recreates the record, so that should be changed if it doesn't.
That must date back to when searching by ISBN caused an automatic import from Amazon if the book was there but not here. I'll add it to the list of things needing updating in the Manual.

do you want to, or should i?
Even though Grok Testuser is currently reading this [sic], shouldn't it be nabbed? This author has a bunch of journal type books and blank books that I believe should be nabbed.
