Abigail Bok (regency_reader) Yes, go to Meredith’s site, Austenesque Reviews. From the tabs at the top of the page, select “Austenesque Lists” and then“Jane Austen Novels.” You will get lists of Austenesque fiction about each novel, the fragments, and Lady Susan.

Fun choice for a spooky read, Victoria. It was definitely less monster-ish. And yay, one more off the challenge pile.

J. W. Garrett (jeannewallacegarrett) | 623 comments Victoria, yeah...almost there. Looks like we need to make reservations for two at the next level. I believe there is plenty of time to get these in before the new year.

ladymurmur | 54 comments #9 - Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters

In a nutshell - meh, with a side of cringe, and a healthy sprinkling of helpless giggles. Which means it pretty much lived up to my expectations. :-)

My actual review here: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

J. W. Garrett (jeannewallacegarrett) | 623 comments Almost there ladymurmur. We will hold reservations for you in the next level.

message 111: by Victoria (new)

Victoria Number #10 is completed!! I'm off to the next level!

I finished Captain Wentworth's Persuasion: Jane Austen's Classic Retold Through His Eyes, after having it on my to-read list since December 9, 2012! One of my longest TBR!

It was pretty good, probably my favourite novel of Jeffers so far. My review can be found here.

message 112: by Abigail (new)

Abigail Bok (regency_reader) Congratulations, Victoria! Movin’ on up!

message 113: by Debbie (new)

Debbie (dmbrown) | 849 comments Excellent, Victoria! We'll be looking for you in Anne Elliot's library now!

J. W. Garrett (jeannewallacegarrett) | 623 comments Victoria, you are checked out of this level and a reservation is waiting for you at the next reading level. Congratulations, I hope your stay at Marianne Dashwood Level was to your satisfaction. Thank you for staying with us. We hope to see you again next year.

message 115: by Reina (new)

Reina Williams Happy December, all! I may need to be in Caroline Bingley!
Let's see, I've read:
1--Jane Austen Lives Again
2--First Impressions
3--That Girl, Darcy: A Pride and Prejudice Story
4--Sense and Sensibility (Sarah Price)
If I can count my own books, I'll be up to six+ by the end of the month. Or I hope to finish rereading P&P!

Sophia (sophiarose) | 1167 comments Mod
Wow, Reina!

You're almost out of Caro's level and into Marianne.

How was That Girl, Darcy? I've got it on my list.

message 117: by Reina (new)

Reina Williams Thanks, Sophia!
I liked it--not a favorite, but an interesting modern take on P&P.
Happy reading!

Maria | 29 comments Thought I could say hello to Marianne with my 6th book :) I read and reviewed Holidays at Pemberley or Third Encounters: A Tale of Less Pride & Prejudice Concludes. My favourite in this series was the second instalment but this one was good all in all.

My review

Thanks, Jeanne! Hope you have a lovely Christmas!

Thank you, ladies! Marianne is such a dear girl! I had to stop by and greet her! ;)

ladymurmur | 54 comments To complete my visit with Miss Marianne -

#10 - Mr. Collins's Last Supper: A Short Story Inspired by Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice by Shannon Winslow - 4 stars

The writing was beautifully done, felt quite naturally Austenesque. Charlotte has always been a character I'd like to read more about. Even better, until I finished the story, I hadn't realized that it was actually a prequel to a series. Definitely an author of which I'd like to read more. The series is now on my TBR pile!

J. W. Garrett (jeannewallacegarrett) | 623 comments Woohoo! We will ship any items you left at this level to the next should any be found in your reading corner. Congratulations and bon voyage.

Huzzah, Lady Murmur!!!! Celebrating the conquering of the Marianne level.

Oh neat, that you found one about Charlotte and there is more to the story. I'll have to add that one to my wish list.

message 134: by Debbie (new)

Debbie (dmbrown) | 849 comments Yes, I added that one to my TBR pile after reading ladymurmur's comments here, too. Shannon Winslow does write some good ones, and I'm surprised I hadn't noticed this one until now. Thanks, ladymurmur!

Carmen8094 | 40 comments Hello!
Here are my last austenesque books for these year:

#7 Manga Classics Emma by Stacy King
It wasn't perfect, but it was fun to read.
4/5
My review here: http://iltesorodicarta.blogspot.it/20...

#8 Compulsively Mr. Darcy by Nina Benneton
The story wasn't bad, above all the first part: I liked it was set in Vietnam and it was fun that Elizabeth thought Darcy was poor and in couple with Charles. But I didn't like the abundance of sex scenes. I don't mind if there are some ones in a book, but when they are too many the story becomes inelegant, or vulgar.
3/5
My review: http://iltesorodicarta.blogspot.it/20...

#9 Manga Classics Sense and Sensibility by Stacy King
Unfortunately I didn't like this as I liked other Udon mangas.
3/5
My review: http://iltesorodicarta.blogspot.it/20...

#10 Twelve Days of Christmas (Darcy and Elizabeth What If? #5) by Jennifer Lang
It is a very nice Christmas variation. Don't be alarmed by the fact that Elizabeth is married with Wickham, it is worth reading. I would have liked if it was longer.
4/5
