Yes, go to Meredith’s site, Austenesque Reviews. From the tabs at the top of the page, select “Austenesque Lists” and then“Jane Austen Novels.” You will get lists of Austenesque fiction about each novel, the fragments, and Lady Susan.

Fun choice for a spooky read, Victoria. It was definitely less monster-ish. And yay, one more off the challenge pile.

Victoria, yeah...almost there. Looks like we need to make reservations for two at the next level. I believe there is plenty of time to get these in before the new year.
#9 - Sense and Sensibility and Sea MonstersIn a nutshell - meh, with a side of cringe, and a healthy sprinkling of helpless giggles. Which means it pretty much lived up to my expectations. :-)
My actual review here: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Number #10 is completed!! I'm off to the next level!I finished Captain Wentworth's Persuasion: Jane Austen's Classic Retold Through His Eyes, after having it on my to-read list since December 9, 2012! One of my longest TBR!
It was pretty good, probably my favourite novel of Jeffers so far. My review can be found here.
Victoria, you are checked out of this level and a reservation is waiting for you at the next reading level. Congratulations, I hope your stay at Marianne Dashwood Level was to your satisfaction. Thank you for staying with us. We hope to see you again next year.
Happy December, all! I may need to be in Caroline Bingley! Let's see, I've read:
1--Jane Austen Lives Again
2--First Impressions
3--That Girl, Darcy: A Pride and Prejudice Story
4--Sense and Sensibility (Sarah Price)
If I can count my own books, I'll be up to six+ by the end of the month. Or I hope to finish rereading P&P!
Wow, Reina!
You're almost out of Caro's level and into Marianne.
How was That Girl, Darcy? I've got it on my list.

I liked it--not a favorite, but an interesting modern take on P&P.
Happy reading!"
Okay, so engaging, but keep expectation moderate. Thanks, Reina!

Well, everyone has different likes and dislikes, so your experience may vary. :) I'd be curious about what others thought.
Very true! I probably won't get to it until next year, but I'll be sure to leave review thoughts when I do.
Debbie wrote: "Excellent, Reina!"Thanks, Debbie! And thanks also, J.W.! Happy Holidays and happy reading to you both!
Thought I could say hello to Marianne with my 6th book :) I read and reviewed Holidays at Pemberley or Third Encounters: A Tale of Less Pride & Prejudice Concludes. My favourite in this series was the second instalment but this one was good all in all.My review
Welcome Maria, there is plenty of room here at Marianne's level. Please excuse the mess, we are trying to get all the decorations up for our Holiday Celebrations.
I am surviving. We spent the last weekend with my family. I got that Amazon gift card I wanted...yeah, books!! We still have my husband's family... oh well. Blessings to you and yours. <:-)

Thank you, ladies! Marianne is such a dear girl! I had to stop by and greet her! ;)
To complete my visit with Miss Marianne - #10 - Mr. Collins's Last Supper: A Short Story Inspired by Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice by Shannon Winslow - 4 stars
The writing was beautifully done, felt quite naturally Austenesque. Charlotte has always been a character I'd like to read more about. Even better, until I finished the story, I hadn't realized that it was actually a prequel to a series. Definitely an author of which I'd like to read more. The series is now on my TBR pile!
Woohoo! We will ship any items you left at this level to the next should any be found in your reading corner. Congratulations and bon voyage.

Huzzah, Lady Murmur!!!! Celebrating the conquering of the Marianne level.
Oh neat, that you found one about Charlotte and there is more to the story. I'll have to add that one to my wish list.

Yes, I added that one to my TBR pile after reading ladymurmur's comments here, too. Shannon Winslow does write some good ones, and I'm surprised I hadn't noticed this one until now. Thanks, ladymurmur!
Same to you, Carmen! Enjoying hot cocoa now and anticipating the arrival of the rest of the family (including the wee ones) in a few hours. The calm before the... Christmas insanity!

Hello! Here are my last austenesque books for these year:
#7
It wasn't perfect, but it was fun to read.
4/5

The story wasn't bad, above all the first part: I liked it was set in Vietnam and it was fun that Elizabeth thought Darcy was poor and in couple with Charles. But I didn't like the abundance of sex scenes. I don't mind if there are some ones in a book, but when they are too many the story becomes inelegant, or vulgar.
3/5

Unfortunately I didn't like this as I liked other Udon mangas.

It is a very nice Christmas variation. Don't be alarmed by the fact that Elizabeth is married with Wickham, it is worth reading. I would have liked if it was longer.

And with this group of finished books you finished Marianne level. Woohoo, Carmen!!!!!
Now you have me so curious about one with Elizabeth married to Wickham.

Please watch your step as you exit this level. Reservations have been made at the next level should you choose to enter with another book between now and Dec. 31st. Happy reading.
@Sophia: yes, it was a surprise:I was counting the books and they were just 10! @J.W.: thank you very much J. W.! I'd like to come to Mr Bennet's library at midnight on the 31st of December to join your party. May I?
Carmen,I think there's an open invitation to the New Year's Eve party for everyone!!Put on your LBD and we'll see you there!
Don't forget your 2017 glasses, noise maker and horn. We'll have lots of fireworks over near the lake. We can see them from the large floor to ceiling windows that over look the gardens. It will be a grand celebration.
Not forgetting, for those who are a little impartial to the champers, that the bed chambers will be freshly aired and available to all!!
Finishing out the year, and squeaking into this level having re-read Pride and Prejudice and Persuasion. Austen continues to amaze me. Something fresh with each re-read. Thanks for the encouragement and recommendations, and to Sophia! Hope everyone has a happy new year!
Yes, each re-read I'm struck by something different from her writing. Glad you could enjoy a couple for your push to the Marianne level, Reina.
You have a happy new year, too! :)
