ABANDONED. Chauffeur with triangle shaped head - possibly YA or children's fiction

I don't really remember much about this book, but I think there was a girl as the protagonist, and that she met another girl at school. (?)The other girl's mother was really rich and they had a chauffeur whose head was muffled by a scarf - supposedly because he was allergic to dust mites but also because his head was shaped like a triangle.

I vaguely remember listening to this as an audiobook, but again, I may be wrong. If you have a suggestion that doesn't exactly fit this description to every single detail, please post it anyway because I may be wrong about quite a bit of it. Thanks :)
