Jame didnt watch. He shifted through his closet for clothes he could change into. He confused himself. With most women, he would have watched. So why the sudden change for this one? He had no idea.

Once she was changed and turned back around she was relieved that he wasn't looking her way. Letting out a breath she sat back down on the bed. She still didn't feel that breat, although beh,ing in dry cloths helped.
Finding some clothes, he slipped the shirt on, before pulling off his wet pants and changing those as well. He didnt mind if she saw him. He didnt want it... but he didnt mind so much. "Are you ok now?" He asked when he was done.
She had looked away as he got changed, just giving a nod at his question. " Tired...but I'll be fine." She said. It had been a long day...
He nodded, sighing softly. "You should rest." He said gently. He walked over to his chair and slumped into it, wincing a little. He was still quite sore, but he wasn't going to complain. Not when she had almost died.
"So what's going to happen to them?" She asked, talking about Sam and the others as she leaned back, trying to let herself relax. Did they really think they could have attacked the captain and gotten away with it? Had they really been that upset by her fight with Ronan? She had to admit she was surprised that he'd even been one of the ones to come help...
Jame sighed. "I could just kill them. But that would make other members of the crew unhappy. So I'll just leave them down there in their cells where they belong." He said simply, almost tiredly. He hated dealing with situations like this. They were so... tiresome. Plus he hated the fact that they had almost succeeded. That humiliated him beyond belief.
Adella frowned a bit but didn't say anything. To her it seemed like they were getting off to easily. First after...after what they'd tried to do to her and then trying to kill Jame? Sure killing them might upset the crew, but wouldn't letting them live just show others that they could get away with it?
Jame sighed. "Besides, they just end up dying down there anyways." He pointed out. "Its a slower death though, being eaten by rats, then jumping the plank is." He explained, huffing softly as if it was an everyday matter. "I'll need to find a new first mate though. Now that Denver is gone. That's always tiresome."
Well now that he put it that way it sounded better...more fitting after what they'd done. They deserved whatever happened down there. "So how does that work anyway? How do you chose a new first mate?" She asked, wondering who he would chose. Ronan maybe? He had been one of the forst ones to come up tp help when she called.
Jame sighed. "Well, sailors volunteer, the crew vote on the ones they like, but really in the end, I choose who I want." He shrugged slowly, closing his eyes and relaxing a little. He was trying to regulate his breathing, because too deep breaths caused his lungs to erupt in fire.
People volunteered for that? She hadn't known that... "So when are you going to do that?" She asked, trying to fight off sleep now. It had been a long day and she was exhasted, but wanted to know how this whole thing worked.
Jame shrugged. "Tomorrow I guess. I'm too tired and sore to do it now." He said honestly, yawning. He stretched himself back in the chair and closed his eyes slowly.
She nodded, relaxing back onto the bed now. Her eyes were starting to drift closed. Should she volunteer tomorrow? Would anyone even vote for her? With those thoughts she drifted to sleep.
Jame woke early the next morning, and got up immediately. He left the cabin and walked out on deck. leaning his elbows on the railing, he looked out at the water and sighed. He didn't know what he was going to do about this situation. There was no easy solution.
She woke up a little while later, feeling much better after the precious day. She was still a bot sore but wasn't going to drift complain. Getting up she stretched, heading out on deck.
Jame huffed and ran a hand through his hair. He was a little less sore today, but his gut still ached and there was a slight bruise on his jaw. He sighed softly, his brown eyes drifting over the ocean. He needed to find it. Or this would all be for naught.
She crossed her arms as she came out on deck, still a bit tense around the rest of the crew but was a little more relaxed today. she nodded to a few of the crew as she headed to her favorite spot on the ship. The crow's nest, reliving the person already up there.
Jame stood slowly, stretching a little and moved up onto the top deck to take his position behind the wheel. He could technically do no work at all, but he felt the most comfortable when steering his ship personally. He would have to make the announcement about first mate today... He swallowed, wondering what he was going to do...
She was lost in thought, debating about whether she should volunteer when he made the announcement, still keeping an eye out for anything on the horizons. It all looked clear. To volunteer or no...if no one voted for her that would be embarrassing...
Jame sighed. He decided to make the announcement now. "Yo! All! I have an announcement." He shouted. "Denver is now gone. And I am in need of a new first mate." He shouted when the crew was listening. "Any volunteers?"
Two of the men, Jack and Todd both quickily volunteered for the position. Adella hesitated a second longer, still up in the crow's nest, beflre calling down to them. "I volunteer!"After thatshe held her breath, waiting to see if the crew would just laugh at the thought of that. And of by some chance she did get voted she'd have to stop hiding up here in the crow's nest...
The crew went silent when she volunteered. Jame looked up at her slowly. He frowned a little as if evaluating this new predicament, before a small smile started to creep across his features. "Lets vote!"
((So it's up to you whether she wins this time or not :P She could always lose now and then they have to vote again later after something happens to the first mate or she could win this time. Either works :D))She let out a breath, relived that they hadn't laughed at least. Silence was better than that....right? Now how did the voting process work exactly? She wondered, scanning out over the water again, Still all clear.
((Yeah true... hmmmm tricky. I want her to be first mate now, but I doubt the crew would vote for her right away.))Jame nodded. "You know the procedure. Eyes closed. You can only vote once." He declared, waiting until all eyes were closed. "Todd?" He asked. Ten hands were raised. "Jack?" He watched as 24 hands lifted. That was the majority of the crew. "Adella?" He asked. Thirteen. She managed to do better then Todd, but not as well as Jack. "Jack is the new first mate! Back to work." He called.
((gah. Just looked back and realized we've used the name Jack before. Was one of the ones who attacked her when they kicked Jame out of his room. Should this be the same Jack or a different Jack?))
((Oh no... lol. Haha, it would have to be a different Jack, or Jame wouldn't trust him. Hmmm, I guess we could just say that Jack is a popular name? and keep it?))
((Good point :P Okay so there are multiple Jack's on board!))Honestly Adella hadn't been expecting to win anyway. And she didn't think that Jack was that bad of a guy, at least he hadn't been one of the main ones trying to attack her. Now that the vote was over she went back to scanning for any ships or anything else on the horizons. She hoped that things went well for awhile at least. They could use a break.
Jame handed over the wheel to Jack, smiling encouragingly at him. Then he went down into his cabin and pulled out his map. They were making good progress. It would only be a couple weeks now, before they reached the next stop.
Adella kept an eye out, but the seas looked clear, no sight of land or another ship anywhere nearby.
((ok))Jame was looking through his spyglass, when he spotted the island on the horizon. He grinned then, and before Adella could announce it from the crows nest, he called out. "Land ho!" The deck immediately came alive with excited buzzing and whispers. Everyone was curious as to what would be on this island. No one had been here before. Any who may have gone, never came back to tell the tale.
She'd been about to call down to the crew when she heard Jame shout it out. She wanted to see it just like all the others but stayed where she was, having a better view. Finally they were here. After months at sea.
Jame gave the orders and when the anchor was lowered, he split his crew up in half, taking one half with him into the longboats. Adella was in the longboat behind his, and he smiled a little at her before looking towards the island.
She gave a tiny smile when she saw him glance at her before looking at the island again. She was ready for whatever was coming...or hoped she was at least. She didn't even know what to expect here, but it had to be better than the past week on the ship.
Jame leaped out of the boat and onto shore the second they struck ground. With his hand on the hilt of his sword, he slowly advanced into the jungle.
((Finals finally over. Will be on more again, going to bed now tonight thiugh.))She followed after him along with the others, keeping a hand near the hilt of her sword as well as she wearily looked around. What were they looking for anyway?
((ok. Sounds good :) ))Jame pulled out his sword when the vegetation got thick, hacking it through vines and grasses that got in his way. He kept a wary eye on the forest. He didn't like the jungle sounds much, there were too many of them.
Jack made his way near the front of the group where Jame was. "What are we looking for exactly Capt?" He asked, looking around the jungle some more.He didn't like it here either....
Jame didn't look back, he just kept plodding on, keeping a wary eye on the forest. "A cave." He said simply. "A cave with a river running through it."
"A cave?" He asked. "What' s inside the cave?" Adella asked then, she'd come up near the front of the group, overhearing them and her curiousity geting the better of her.
James smiled a little. "I guess we'll see." He said, being purposely vague. At that moment, he stepped on a loose piece of soil, which collapsed, sending him tumbling and sliding down a rocky tunnel into the ground.
Adella rolled her eyes at his vague comment, then instinctively took a step back as the ground crumbled, the captain falling with it. Crapcrapcrap. She got down on her stomach, carefully getting a bit closer to the hole. "Are you alright!?" she shouted down.
Jame got up when he slid to a stop, brushing himself off slowly and looking around. It was dark down there, but the cavern was large, and light filtered in through other weak spots here and there. "Fine! Come on down! I found the cave!" he shouted back at them, moving forwards to explore.
Already being on the ground Adella slid down next, followed by Jack then the rest of the crew. She wanted to ask again what they were looking for but doubted he'd answer.
Jame struck a flint against one of their torches, and then held it high as it came to life, illuminating the dark cave. He smiled, looking around at the dripping interior. "This is it! This is what we've been waiting for! The first stop..."
Adella was frowning as she looked around. There was nothing here....not that she could see anyway. "First stop? What do you mean? What's here?"
Jame smiled a little. "You'll see." He walked into one of the tunnels branching out of the cavern and held up the light to the wall, running his hands over the surface. He frowned, as if searching for something on the wall.
