"So?" she wondered how he was still reading

"so, you just need to lean how to block out your surroundings so things wont be so annoying" he said, "im not bothering your reading, your just paying more attention to the stranger than your book"
"Who are you stranger?" she askef
he finally looked up to her, "my names Jeremy Kin" he said
he looked back to his book reading again, "a pleasure to make your acquaintance" he said
he looked from his book back to her, "so whats the book im distracting you from?" he asked
"Pride and Prejudice" she showed him the cover
"hmm, ive heard of it, dont think ive ever read it before" he said rubbing his chin
"Didn't figure" she shook her head
he nodded his head, "it didnt sound interesting to me at the time" he said with a shrug
"I doubt it does now either" she impulsively stuck her tongue out at him and her eyes widened in shock. She quickly grabbed her bag and put her stuff away. "Bye" she told him and practically ran off.
he sat there confused, he watched her as she ran off, "did i say something wrong?" he asked himself, thrn shrugged and continued reading, looking out the window, "huh, its rain, wonder for how long?"
A few hours later Emily wandered back into the library, specifically over to her window seat. She kind of hoped Jeremy was still there so she could apologize to him for running off.
Jeremy continued to sit in the window, since he didnt usually have classes this late in the day and no real place to go but his dorm room, he stayed to continue reading, occasionally looking outside at the people running through the rain
"Hey" Emily greeted quietly
he turned from the window, "oh hey there Emily" he said
"I'm um .... I'm sorry about running off earlier" she apologized
lhe looked at her and shook his head, "why are you apologizing for that?" he asked confused
"Because it was rude of me to leave like that." she told him
he shrugged, "so, im pretty rude myself" he said with a shrug
"I won't disagree with that" she smiled.
"good" he nodded, "now sit your butt down" he said pointing at the other spot, "unless you only came back to apologize"
"I was actually on my way to dinner" she told him
he nodded his head, "i see, well i hope you enjoy your meal" he said, "oh and don't get too soaked by the rain when you leave"
"Well I was actually going to ask if you wanted to join me" she told him.
he looked back at her, "really?" he asked in disbelief
"Why not?" she asked shrugging
"i had the impression you didnt really care much for me at all" he said, "just look at how we first met"
"You aren't afraid to speak your mind. That's a rare quality and I find that I enjoy it" she told him
he continued to look at her for a few seconds, "well i am getting hungry" he said, "sure i'll join you"
"Good" she smiled and waited for him to pack his things up
he got up and put his things away, he sling his backpack on one arm and walked to her, "all ready" he said
"Great." she smiled and headed to the main floor of the library. "It's Greek day, I love Greek day" she smiled thinking about Greek food
he walked along side her, "Greek food" he said, not really sure what was Greek food
"Yeah like pita bread with Greek style chicken or pork, hummus, Greek salad, pita chips, Greek rice" she listed off as her stomach growled
he raised an eyebrow, "you really like your Greek don't you?" he asked
"Yes, I only put the chicken, hummus and a little bit of rice on the pita bread and then put some lemon on it for a little added flavor" she told him shrugging and rubbing her stomach.
"you only?" he asked, "that seems like a lot of work for an only"
"It's delicious" she shrugged as if that explained it all
"of course it is" he said shaking his head with a slight smirk
"Hey no smirking" she told him smiling as she gently bumped her shoulder against him.
"whoa" he said, after the bump he swayed to the side, acting as if the bump was stronger than it was, but still kept his balance
"I know I'm not that strong" she told him laughing. She briefly wondered why she was being so carefree around this guy, but then again, it was the first time in years so she didn't really mind.
he laughed a bit with her, "you never know" he shrugged, "you could be really strong if you meant it" he said, then he he put his hands in his pocket and stopped after they walked out of the library front door and he saw it was still raining
Emily pulled her umbrella out of her bag and opened it. "Come on" she put it between the two of them so he wouldn't get wet either
he looked over to her, "you know if we both use that we'll have to snuggle up close, you sure you want to do that with a rude guy like me" he said, joking the last part
She hooked her arm through his and started walking
he was a bit shocked when she hook her arm around his, but recovered quickly so he wouldnt fall over and get dragged, he walked along side her, his arm still locked with hers
