What do you do to keep motivated and working when editing and revising your work?

Post-It Notes, not to miss anything I want to add in. Motivation is all about moving forward - I try and convince myself the work will be better, even when cutting and losing bits that have been a part of the work for so long they feel integral and indispensable.

I'm probably the only one who needs no additional motivation because I actually love editing and revising my work. For me it's partly just the excitement of seeing the book get better with each change I make. Then there's also the fact that once I'm in this process it means my book is getting really close to being published.

Cool! That's much the same way I look at it. Especially the last part. I mean once you're in that stage truly, it means you're just about ready to take it to the presses! And THAT is an encouraging thought.

How do you get over writer's block? I haven't been able to write anything for weeks now and it's becoming a bit depressing.
One thing that has been suggested to me was to read short stories. As for me, I think it helps sometimes to just daydream and wait for an inspiration.

May I ask what you write? This will help my answer for you.
