We'll have to see regarding the movie. It's never a for sure thing until you see the trailer. There isn't a cast yet. Most of the YA adaptations you are seeing are fairly cheap to make. This one wouldn't be so they will be looking very closely at book sales and fan comments and tweets.

Salutations, Colleen! I'm Zoe (if you didn't already read my name). I'm 12 and just was blown away by the series. I've read the first three and are FREAKISHLY into the books. I do write a little, and was wondering how to convey a characters emotions to a reader. Like, strong emotions so the reader can feel the same feeling. *already confusing myself* Also, how do keep moving on when writing and not focus on one part of work? I'll always go back and edit what I already have and end up not really getting anything accomplished. Hi! I'm Whitney and I am in absolute love with your series. Tiger's Curse is by far my favorite book of all time, this story inspired me to continue writing poetry and it jump started me into writing books; because of you, not only have I began to love reading again, BUT I have grown as a writer. I would love to have some writing advice from you:) I fell in love with Ren INSTANTLY. It took a while to warm up to Kishan, I found him hilarious but also a huge jerk. How could someone do that to their brother? Then I continued to read and understood him fully. In a way, Ren and Kishan are one in the same. When I first read the book I thought this was going to be nothing BUT predictable. I've been trying to find a series that blew my mind, and Ms. Houck, my mind is definitely B L O W N.
I'm seriously contemplating on whether or not I want to pay for one of your signed books. As a college student that is not exactly the smartest investment, but OH. MY. GOSH. I. WANT. THEM.
Now to the questions,
I want more Ren and Kelsey! I honestly do not know how on earth you will continue that story because the ending was by far AMAAAAAZING! AND PERFECT!! You've proven to surprise me throughout the whole series so I'm wondering WHAT more will you add? Or what should we expect?
For Ren and Kelsey's son, are you going to write a story about him? Will he ever find love or would he find someone that's cursed? What if he ever got stuck in the past and he met Ren, Kishan, and Yesubai and she ended up falling in love with him, what do you plan to do for him? i know i am probably going too deep into the story, i have so many questions.
Finally, TIGER'S PROMISE, WE NEED MORE! please. What on earth will happen in Tiger's Promise and Tiger's Dream????

What was your most challenging character throughout your writing of the Tiger Curse series?
I'm going to an Elementary school on Monday to talk about my latest Fantasy series The Resistance. Do you have any advice for this? (I'm 16 and will be talking to 3rd-5th grades.)

I really LOVE your books, there one of my favorite series of all time!Do you ever plan on making a novella in like ren and kishans P.O.V on how they viewed about everything that happened and how they saw Kelsey, through their eyes. I know you send there was some on your website but I was wondering like a printed version of it.
HELLO! Biggest fan over here! This series, epecially the 4th book made me cry and suffocate and choke all day long! SPOILER FOLKS: How hard was it to make Mr. Kadam die when he was your favorite character all along?
Hey Colleen, I'm Angela and I've told you through messaging but I'm gonna say it again, you're my favourite author and Tiger's Curse is my favourite book series. For me, it's better than the top series' Twilight, The Hunger Games, and Divergent (yes I have read all those series and they are great). I haven't found anything that compares to your series. Super excited to find out about the Egyptian series and can't wait to start reading then next year. As well, I'm excited for the curse to finally be broken in Tiger's Dream though I will be sad that the series will be done. My mother and I are both anticipating Tiger's Promise (she stole the series from me and is obsessed as much as I am) to find out more about the background story. Even though a movie would be awesome, I don't think it would fully be able to capture the same essence that the books have. You do amazing work and I am excited to re read the whole series over and over again in the months to come. <3
I have too many questions to ask in one post, so I guess I will ask when is the estimated time on publishing for Tiger's Dream? What will it be about? Tiger's Destiny covered a LOT of stuff. Also, is the movie still scheduled for 2015? Has the casting process been started yet? Tiger's Promise was inspired by birds. Two birds specifically, Hugin and Munin. When they gave Kishan a new perspective of Yesubai in Tiger's Quest, I began thinking more about Yesubai and her story.
I never thought Destiny was the final book. I've known Dream was coming all along. For a while I thought I could cram everything that happened in Dream and Destiny into one book but it became quickly apparent to me that that wasn't going to happen.

All the characters you know and love will be a part of Tiger's Dream. Promise was inspired by Kishan's vision of Yesubai in Tiger's Quest while climbing the world tree.

I did not set out with the intention to write about India. I wanted to write a Beauty and the Beast themed book then settled on a white tiger for the beast. India only happened when I came upon stories of the white tiger in India.
I have a whole shelf full of mythology books and I use the internet a lot for research. I can't imagine having to research old school in a library with card catalogs.

I was inspired to start writing after reading Stephenie Meyer's Twilight series. I wanted to read more romantic books like that and the idea just popped into my head to try it for myself.
I love sci-fi, fantasy, and romance. Mystery and murder are not my favorites and it feels like a lot of work to read non-fiction or biography.
My next series is based on Egyptian mythology.
I have no ideal cast for a film. A movie is in the works.
It's not a perfect ending. Not yet. ;)

Thank you! Tiger's Dream is my most carefully guarded project, so I'm not sharing any details until I have to. If you preorder Promise, however, you actually get the prologue which had to be pried from my clutching fingertips.

I am an absolute fan of yours! I fell in love with the Tiger's Curse series, and every character in it. I was introduced to this awesome series by my cousin, and i finished the first one in a matter of hours. It was the first YA book that i read and i loved it! No matter how many other books i read after finishing this series, it has always been my favorite! (Along with HP series) thank you for delivering such a stupendous books, with awesome twists and romance :) Now for my questions:
1- will kishan be there in Tiger's Dream?
2- will Tiger's Dream be about memories, or a continuation of the series (i cant see how its possible to continue, now that all the loose ends were tied) ?
3- kelsey wont be there in the new novella Tiger's Promise, right? (This seems stupid, but i needed to ask cuz i cant imagine a Ren book with no Kelsey)

Yes there is bonus chapter from Ren's perspective and another one written from the POV of Yesubai's mother, Yuvakshi. Kelsey will not be making an appearance in Tiger's Promise.

Authors don't have as much power as you might think when it comes to the movie making process. Unless it's written into the contract we aren't allowed to do too much especially when it comes to making changes. Holly Black, the author of the Spiderwick Chronicles said that when it comes to Hollywood you pick the hill you want to die on. That means you figure out which thing is the most important to you and go to battle for that because there are too many battles to win them all.

Ren and Kelsey will be a part of Tiger's Dream but the book is not the story of their married lives. I'm not writing a book about that. Dream doesn't have a pub date and I'm still debating the title of the Egyptian book with my editor.

Nobody understands what's going on with Dream except me =) That's the way I'm keeping it right now. There are many unanswered questions that you might not exactly be aware of at this time but if you read carefully there are clues hidden throughout the series.
A movie is in the works but there isn't a director or cast yet.

When it comes to writing and getting stuck most of the time you need to work that rock until you remove it or plow around it. The most important thing is not to give up. Go for a walk and think about or research online. You may find a way to unstick yourself. =)
