#11 - Pride and Prejudice - Jane Austen

Another re-read from my school days that I barely remembered! It felt like I was reading a completely new (to me) book. Maybe because this time around I was choosing to read it rather than being told to by a teacher!

Loved it. Joint favourite Austen (with Emma).

Just got Sense & Sensibility left to read to complete the Austens. We'll have to see if it can take the top spot!

Susie | 768 comments Your challenge is looking good! I still have a few of the Austens to read...I'm sure one will make it onto this challenge for next year!

I recommend Emma or P&P if you haven't read them already, but all of them have been 4 or 5 star reads for me :)

#12 - The Lost World - Arthur Conan Doyle

This sort of story isn't really my thing, but I really enjoy the Sherlock Holmes books and wanted to try something else of Doyle's. It was fairly enjoyable I suppose. 3 stars.

Having read 12 books from my list I suppose I could call this challenge complete but I'm still hoping to squeeze in my last two books before the end of the year.

Laurie | 1895 comments Congratulations on finishing your challenge. Even if you don't read the other two, its a great accomplishment. And a really nice list of books.

Andrea AKA Catsos Person (catsosperson) | 1685 comments Congrats!

I did this challenge last year, but only stuck to the twelve selections. I didn't read the two alternates.

Well done on finishing, Caroline! :)

Emma's my favourite too (I just read it this year and loved it!). I like this idea of having a joint favourite :)

Thanks everyone. I think I'm going to try and read my last two books, I feel like I should because they were on my original list of 12. (I read the alternates early because I just fancied reading them!). But if I don't get to them I won't beat myself up.There's always next year right?

Pink | 5491 comments Exactly! You've finished for the requirements of the challenge, but you can read the extra two if you feel like it :)

Well done!
