Shel wrote: "I just finished Code Name Verity - not SF/F, but absolutely brilliant."Read Code Name Verity for my IRL book club awhile back. I agree, an excellent book.
I need to read it again so I can appreciate the cleverness. I won't say any more because I don't want to spoil it for anyone, because this is a book that should definitely stay unspoiled!
finished Fire and Bitterblue by Kristin Cashore I enjoyed both but liked Bitterblue slightly better.
Finished up House of Chains, the 4th Malazan Empire book. Awesome. Best fantasy series I have ever read.Starting Little Fuzzy
I've had a difficult week so I ended up re-reading Tigana for the zillionth time (for some reason Kay's books always comfort me, even though they're not exactly happy ever afters), and now I'm on to The Fifth Elephant for some laughs.
Christine wrote: "finished Fire and Bitterblue by Kristin Cashore I enjoyed both but liked Bitterblue slightly better."Bitterblue is the book in the triology that I've not yet read, so glad to hear you thought it was even better than fire.
Ken wrote: "Starting Little Fuzzy"I listened to both the original and the updated version and enjoyed them both. Very enjoyable reads.
I just finished Hollow World, a different science fiction novel. It held my attention and I liked the story
Finished Hild yesterday (excellent!). But I skipped around a bit and finished up Canavan's Traitor Spy trilogy with The Traitor Queen, which was a really driving read, better than I expected.Trying madly to finish up rereading The Way of Kings now to join next month's discussion.
I finished reading A Wind in the Door by Madeleine L'Engle. Review here.I'm now reading In the Days: A Tale of the Forgotten Continent by Andy Peloquin.

I decided on so old school SF instead. It will be read, just later this summer.
I read Judas a couple of years ago. Was rather disappointed with it. Thought he could of used an editor.
