I dont know why but I feel like I am going to be in a mourning period after finishing the third book ! I Hope no one i love will die !
usually it says if there is another book planed on goodreads and there aren't any, I'm afraid this might be the end @courtney
So excited! <3 Anyone else getting the collector's edition of Ruin and Rising? I. Must. Have. Darkling. Prequel. Story.
Whoops my comment got deleted. &i'm not sure, someone had just asked if this is the end of the series (or world or something along those lines) and she said no
@maddi: Most definitely getting that edition !! @janussa: very possible I am wishful thinking haha but a girl can hope yeah? &there is, I know Barnes is selling that edition .(:
Barnes and Noble is selling it, only available with preorder. It has gold on the cover instead of silver :)

I understand what your going through, I went through the same thing. I mean, I the darkling a lot and I also like Nikolai and I like Mal....I want her to end up with Nikolai...sorry...or maybe the darkling?
Yeah I have no idea who I want her to end up with or even if I want her to end up with someone? But whatever the case I feel like in the long run I'll be happy with almost any outcome because I just love Leigh's world and writing.Maybe Alina and Genya just need to find a beach a live out the rest of their days happy
I agree with you Courtney, I love her world. Sobachka is a funny word in Russian, I was surprised that it was there in the first book...because I'm from Russia and I know how to speak it...
Wow that's cool. If this is just a trilogy, the next book must be a novella or a different series but still within this world?
I have read book 1 and 2 of Grisha trilogy, 6 times and I can never get tired of it. I am stuck between Nikolai and the Darkling, I ship them both for Alina.
@kayla: yeah that's totally fine and you can just read for the first time when we do the reread if you want, the group info has the dates for book 1& 2 !(:@vera: Leigh said that the Darkling is definitely in the third book :D
Way too excited for this book to come out already !
I am torn as to who I want Alina to end up with. I'm really leaning towards Nikolai, but who knows! :)
I am so so so excited for Ruin and Rising. <3 Loved the first books so much :) And I adore Leigh. She's amazing. But agh. I am not liking the Darkling. Or Nikolai. Okay, fine, I like them both. But I do not ship them with Alina. There is only one guy for Alina, and that is Mal. <3 Hih. He will always be my favorite character :)
So have to pre-order it!I have read and reread this series too many times not to have the deluxe addition of the third book <3
I ship Alina with the Darkling most. He is just such an interesting character. I like Nikolai but I think he is the least possible candidate to end up with Alina. I have seen his kind of character in other YA novels (where they flirt with the MC and gather a large fanbase) but they rarely get the girl in the end. They normally fall for someone else towards the end and become the best friend for the MC. You never know though. I liked Mal in Shadow and Bone but I lost a lot of respect for him in Siege and Storm.
I haven't read Shadow & Bone yet. But I want to change that, so am I still allowed to join you guys?
I really enjoyed the books. I liked the second book far more than the first. Is it just me, or did the first book feel like two stories jammed into such a short novel. Whereas the second was a smooth story. That had not one, but two climaxes, leading up to a satisfying conclusion. Also the character development was magnificent. Alina's character proved that it can be shaped to create a excellent leader in the last novel. All in all I am super intrigued about what's going to happen in the concluding novel.
@carly: I don't see why not, there's a reread later this month and that can act as just your first read !(:
