There's a Darking perspective piece?I must have it!
Is it a part of the last book or is it some part of a specail edition, like Cassandra Clare's books?

Were you like me, and flipped through the inevitable black pages? Or did you close the book and stared blankly in space, wondering what just happened?

I just can't wait to read about the characters again. I miss them so much!
I can honestly say I have no idea @Janussa. However I do have some insane theories. Some involving a certain clever fox.

Me too. I was a little disappointed that we didn't get any character development in Siege and Storm. But I do think Leigh has big plans for his character in Ruin and Rising.
I sure hope so especially since he's in charge of the government now there has to be more of him!!
I know, and they have to kiss again because it's just sexy when she kisses a dark and brooding guy. Like the Darkling.
Pretty sure Leigh said that there is much more Darkling and I think we get some info on his past as well !
I know, but I'm pretty iffy about the pairing. You have to admit he did some pretty bad stuff in events of both books.

I got to admit, he really is. I kind of like how he really embraces all she is. While in contrast Mal only accepts parts of her. Oh my god, don't get me started on Mal.
@Saule: true that but I read this one persons take on how he acted and it said somethings along the lines of it having to do with him being so old and seeing nearly everyone he has ever known live, grow old and die. While he still stayed the same. Then he finally finds Alina, someone like him, whose going to live (if Leigh doesn't kill her- and so the conspiracies start!) long after Mal has grown old and died and all he wants is someone like him to stay with him.granted it can argued he just wants to have total control over Alina but it just made me think a little bit more about the Darkling in a different light
HAha, right...hearing someone say Mal I would like wow seriously sometimes he just pisses me off so much I want to slap him. But, other than that I love him. @Saule
@Courtney That does put into focus the whole philosophical meaning of immortality. That when you live forever, are you really living? Or are you only watching other people live? While you are forever trapped in isolation. So I think to some extent the Darkling lives in that kind of reality, where he is trapped in isolation.
Yeah when I read that person's idea on the Darkling it made me think that, and kinda made since (to a certain extent) as to why he wants Alina- maybe in hopes of her being able to relate and understand him?But he has a mom, whom of which is alive and hasn't been treated the best by him so idk he's a bundle
I love his mom, she saved her life by telling her to go. And the darkling is being mean to her, I agree with that. @Courtney

That's true he isn't mean to her like he is to his mom, my memory seems to be a bit fuzzy I swore he was really bad but good thing we have the reread coming up !(:

I remember that when Alina visited his mother in Siege and Storm, it was implied that the Darkling cut her eyes out of their sockets.
Even though he still does so many terrible things I still love him
@saule yea he did some terrible things to her and I think she still wants to help him if she could
I know she would, since she loves him. No matter what, he is her son.
