I nominate The Wolf Gift

Natalie Carey (janeefficiency) | 43 comments Your nominations are always incredibly timed with the stuff I've been meaning to read! I'll second this, and nominate The Little Stranger and Covenant with the Vampire.

And then I'll struggle once voting on the poll comes around, of course. ^.^

Antony Stanton (antonyjstanton) | 7 comments Are we allowed to nominate our own books? If so, then I would suggest my Dystopian gothic horror book, published 28th Nov - "Once Bitten. Twice Die", my first book, after 5 long years of really hard effort. Available on Amazon. If we are not allowed to, then I do apologise and then I'd have to nominate "I Am Legend".

You are more than welcome to nominate your own work. There are just no guarantees it will be chosen.

Jeanne Kalogridis is one of my favorite authors!! She is dark and she holds absolutely nothing back. Nothing is sacred LOL

The Wolf Gift sounds great! I have the book after that and need to read this one again. It's been years.

Nancy, they said this was for nominations.
Nominate something you feel is better and not repetitive, then. ;)

If I am allowed, I'd nominate my own book,"ONCE BITTEN, TWICE DIE", if that is OK? It is literally published TODAY on Amazon, self-published, self-marketed, self-everything. 5 LONG years of hard effort, and today the dream is achieved.

Once Bitten, Twice Die (The Blood of the Infected Book 1) by Antony Stanton
Be amongst the first to witness the dawn of a new sub-genre of horror fiction: Dystopian Gothic Realism; a trilogy of post-apocalyptic novels where science-based fact makes for a realism of gothic horror like none you have ever read.
Do you think you are familiar with everything to do with zombies? Think again.
If you believed you knew vampires, you know nothing.
Do you feel ready for Armageddon? You couldn't be further from the truth.
A cure for dementia has disastrously failed. Patients are left crazed, infectious and enraged. The ensuing carnage quickly spreads the disease, and civilisation is decimated.
On London’s outskirts a military base shelters some survivors. The soldiers within must battle against the infected who now roam unchallenged. Tensions are high, relationships fraught, death commonplace.
But if they thought the end of the world was bad enough, their troubles have only just begun...
An ancient menace has long existed in secret alongside humanity - a vampire clan, which has recently encountered the soldiers. Now is their time to emerge from the shadows. First though they have to overcome their own problems. They too have to fight for survival against the infected, and they violently disagree on their approach towards the humans.
Hostilities are rising. It's only a matter of time now... In an uncertain world only one thing is certain, there will be blood!

Sorry, Constance. That book is already on our "read" shelf.
