Consider the book you are reading (or recently read). Think about the main character of the book. What do you have in common with him or her?
Be sure to include the title, author, and character's name. Compare personality traits.

Dakota Pagel | 2 comments In the book diary of a wimpy kid there is a boy named Greg, and something that describes me to him is that sometimes when my mom tells me to do something I don't always listen to her. Gregs mom tells him to do something but sometimes he don't like do his chores and I don't do that either.

Lindsay Brandenburg | 2 comments My book Victory Vault is about this girl named Chandra is in gymnastics and she doesn't have to practice, but at the competition on vault she messed up her landing and also won against the other team. Her best friend was mad at her because she didn't deserve it and also cause she wanted it for herself, and wanted her to do the right thing. Later in the book Chandra gave the trophy back to the judges and gives it to the other team that they have competed with. I'm just like Chandra where I have to make decisions like that if I have messed up. Sometimes I don't like doing it, but sometimes you just have to do it for your own good and even for your best friends or family.

Liam | 2 comments I am reading a book called Russian roulette. The main character in it is named Alex Rider. He is a spy that works for the secret group called M16. The special part about him is that he is only 14. I think that we have the same personality traits because he doesn't really want to work for M16 but they make him. I am sort of similar because I want to stay out of trouble.

Naomi | 2 comments The book I was reading before was, "Sarah Plain, And Tall," the author is Patricia MacLachlan, and the character I have in common with is Anna, because she acts like an older sister to her younger brother and that's what I do at home, but I'm not the oldest sister I'm the third oldest, but I just act like the oldest sister to my younger brother. And Anna don't really have fight with her younger brother and same with me I don't really have fights with my younger brother, I care about my little brother and she does too, she doesn't have a mom, but I do, her new mom is Sarah.

Ariel Xiong | 2 comments In the book I am reading now, Divergent. Divergent is by Veronica Roth. think I am kinda similar to Tris a.k.a Beatrice. I think I am kind of similar because when she first joined dauntless she was kinda shy and weak. But after she gets bullied almost and people start talking bad about her old faction,She just defends and attacks. She stands up for herself and just like me I want to defend my friends, family, and home. I don't want people to think I am weak or not strong, so I have to make them believe by being strong.

I am like Max because she has a side to her that she keeps quiet about but when anybody is hurt in her flock she will protect them. She is curious too and will find the bottom of anything. She also can't cook which, sadly, is another reason I'm like her. At many times, Max is like a tomboy. She will do anything to help her friends and family, something I am like.

Presley Dillion | 5 comments I am reading the book I am number 4 I am like John because I am a leader and I will do what I have to do in order to get the job done. Because in the book John takes control of the guard witch is a Alain race of people sent to protect people John sacrificed his self Inorder to destroy all the bad people. And I will take charge of a group of people and I will do what I have to do in order to finish the job.

Kendra Doberstein | 3 comments The title of the book character I would compare myself to Is the book Jinx and the Author Sage Blackwood. The main character is named Jinx and I think that we have some of the same personality traits with the way we act to adults. He doesn't talk back to them and he just does what he is told but is also is independent.

Maggie- I think that I am like Maggie because I have a lot of empathy and I like to help people.
pg. 16 "I haven't minded caring for Henry"
pg. 16 " My dear Maggie,' he said huskily. 'I know that you'd help me if you could."
pg. 9 "yet she knew things would never be the same again for the man who had just come."
pg. 13 "And who better than Maggie to share his pain, his confusion."
Maggie is ready to do a lot for friends, like I think I am. She doesn't complain about caring for her invalid husband (Henry) and she is ready to help George when he is hurt emotionally.

Sydney (Sh21302) | 2 comments I'm reading the book It's kind of a funny story by Ned Vizzini. There is one main character that her and I have a lot in common. Noelle is proud of who she is and isnt afraid to show her flaws. Noelle doesn't care what people think of her and is proud of who she is. Noelle has cuts all over her face and she doesn't try to hide them like other people would. That portrays the characteristic of not caring what other people think of yourself and being proud of who you are. I'm also very proud of who I am. I'm weird and silly and funny and I'm proud of it, just like Noelle is proud of herself too.

Kelsey | 2 comments The things I have in common with the main character are that, were both very responsible and studious. We think about the decisions we make before we make them and most often times overthink decisions, but in the end try to do the right thing. Independent is another thing we don't need to rely on other people all the time we can do things by ourself but we need help sometimes, I know this because she traveled into another demension by herself and survived and eventually got help, she also brave because of that. Those are some things that the main character of my book, Land of Stories by: Chris Colfer, have in common with eachother.

message 15: by Taylor (new)

Taylor | 2 comments I'm reading "Greenglass House" one of the characters is Meddy. I think we're a like in the fact that we are both spunky. We are very determined to get things done. For example in the book while a character is telling a story that could help them solve part of the main problem, Milo (another main character) is talking and Meddy tells him to be quiet so they can figure it out. She also wants to look for items immediately after they are stolen to try and figure out the problem. We also aren't afraid to do things. Meddy isn't afraid to look ridiculous in front of everyone because she is brave and doesn't care what people think of her.

Sylvia (sy21745) | 2 comments The book I'm just finished reading is "Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix." I believe I am most like the character Luna Lovegood in many ways. First off, she's very cooky and weird just like me. But she will always be there if you need her, she's a good friend and a fighter. For those reasons I believe Luna and I are very similar.

Claire Marquardt | 2 comments I am reading the book "The Diamond of Darkhold" which is the fourth book of the City of Ember. The main characters are Lina and Doon. I think that I have more in common with Lina because she is creative and likes to draw. She thrives for adventure and will take opportunity when it comes. An example if that in the book is when she heard that the family that she is living with has a brother that is a roamer. She wanted to go with so she stuck in the back of the truck to follow along. When there is opportunity for me I don't hesitate on if I will try it or not. I will go for it and try anything that comes to my interest. Another personality trait that Lina has is drawing. One of my favorite subjects is art class and I also love to draw. Doon is not like me because he has a high interest in bugs and plants, which I do not find interesting. I don't find curiosity in science as much as artistic skills and writing. That is why I think that I am more like Lina than Doon.

Nathan Rea | 2 comments In Spy School by Stuart Gibbs I think I am like Ben Ripley who is a follower. On page 15 it says: "Then run" In one fluid motion Alexander popped the door open and practically shoved me out. I hit the ground running. Then on page 24 it says: "The principals office!" The girl hissed, shoving me forward "Run. Again hes follwing orders so that was I am like Ben ripley in spy school

Dawson | 4 comments I am reading the book diary of a wimpy kid and the main character is Greg Heffley. I am like Greg because he doesn't like to do his chores, and I don't like doing my chores.

message 20: by Benjamin (new)

Benjamin | 2 comments This is Ben. I'm reading a book called point blank, the author is Anthony Horowitz. In the book the main chachter is Alex, and he is faced with many problems with an evil scientist. He had to perserve and not give up. Like on page 169 he is trapped in a cell waiting to be cut open and looked at by scientists. "The cell measured six feet by twelve and contained a bunk bed no mattress and chair. Alex was thinking of what was going to happen. Then he rembered the earring the Mr. Smithers made for him. He put the two earnings together and put them in the lock. The earnings started burning out the lock. He was free."
Like Alex I don't give up easily, like on one of my questions in the math test I didn't know how to figure it out and I sat there for 20 minutes trying to figure it out. Finally when there was about four minutes left in class I figured out it.

Ryan | 2 comments My book is about an icebreaker who saves a young girl stranded out in the artic.

message 22: by Ella (new)

Ella | 1 comments I'm reading the Greenglass House by Kate Milford. I think that I am more like one of the main characters, Milo. I think I am very creative and mysterious like him because he discovers a lot of things in his surroundings and comes up with a bunch of different characters describing him.

Brooklyn Pupp (bp21263) | 1 comments I recently read the book Peace Locomotion. I think I am a character, named Jenkins. He is very brave because he served in the war and lost a leg over it. I think I am brave also because I don't let anything stop me from doing something brave.

message 24: by Kayleigh (new)

Kayleigh | 1 comments I'm am like the character Ali in Deep and dark and dangerous. In the book Ali is trying to protect her sister from an evil girl trying to make her sister do bad things. Even though Ali is scare herself she has to preserve and protect her sister. I am like Ali because I always try to protect the people that I care about, if it's my family or my friends, even if I'm scared or unsure about what I am doing.
