I got an email from Marco saying that he is the new and only moderator of the group and that he intends to go back to the basics of the group... hmmm
I find it strange that Goodreads will allow this. I used to see Marco's name on the threads back in 2011. I know he deleted his account some time after that.Years later, he pops up again, unceremoniously relieves three moderators of their duties and installs himself as the only moderator of group.

And he decides to change everything back by himself? I'm a newbie here, and I don't think it's proper to do that without consulting the other moderators first.
Guys, this is unacceptable. In protest of the decisions by Marco (a person I don't even know), I created another group where we can continue all our previous discussions including this one and all our buddy reads. Unless Marco reinstates the previous moderators and engages in appropriate dialogue with all concerned, I suggest that we go over here as a substitute.PS.

Hello friends, I just woke up from another nap. My fever is gone so I am coherent. And now...I suggest...we chill. Because...well it IS April 1, and malay ba natin kung ano to. I promise that as soon as we figure things out, you guys will know. So...relax lang. It'll be okay (I hope).

Hello, TFG!I wake up to find several reactions to what happened, and well that was interesting. But as much as I...I mean, we wanted this to go on all day just for the heck of it, we realize it’s time to say this:
April Fools!
Well, we just couldn’t resist. :) Yes, Marco is the original creator of the group, but he’s (hopefully) blissfully oblivious with all of this. (But if you aren’t...hello, Marco! Thank you for creating this group! :D) We apologize if the prank has created unwanted craziness...but it was just too fun not to pull off. All is well, so don’t worry about stuff — we’re still your mods, and there is no invasion or coup d’etat. :D (And to those who figured it out early on: good job!)
But really, there’s a point to all of this, because this kicks off our anniversary activities for this month. Our theme is TFG Throwback, and what better way to throw it back than having the original creator back for a certain time? :D
On that note, all threads are open, the group is back to normal, and you can all throw in your reactions (relieved, annoyed, and what-have-you’s) in the anniversary thread. :D Our activities will start tomorrow! :D (And yes, use #TFGat4 as hashtag for those who have social media accounts that allow us to use that. :D More details on this later on!)
